When I was living in Asia, I bought a duckling outside of some elementary school. Little guy followed me around all summer. I was told they always do this. He would quack nonstop whenever he can't find me. He hopped the fence one day. Days later I heard some kid found him and kept feeding him worms till he died.

I was told the kid went around flipping rocks with his friends and just watch him go wild. The little guy was a savage and really liked bugs for some reason. Usually ate only half of the chicken feeds I gave him and foraged himself. So I assumed he died over- feeding.
I heard somewhere that if chicks starves for a while then get unlimited food, they don't know when to stop and can die that way.

Cats are domesticated, dumbass, they LIKE humans. Any human that's nice to them, they'll follow around, especially if they've only got one to choose from. That's got nothing to do with "imprinting."
