"Well, I know that George Lucas doesn't like it at all—when I was working on The Illustrated Star Wars Universe, he told me that he would be happy if every copy could be tracked down and burned..."
-Kevin J. Anderson
Holy **** guy.... I expected there to be some other force drawing them into the holes like a twisted ancient demon or some **** , but it was even worse.
i still want to know what was enticing them to go in. I literally would not ever ******* go near something like that. I would leave the ******* country at the thought of something like that
when i was younger this manga made me have my first and only anxiety attack, it was horrible had to walk out of my room to breath. But loved every second.
Hes kibbleking, a pretentious cunt who spammed me nonstop for weeks and continues to do so because i blocked him for being a raging cunt, so he made a new account to do the same thing,
There's a theory that this was all planned he did the thing with his dad (who knew what was going to happen) because he needed to get in close with snoke or whatever his name was. Kind of like the thing with Revan "becoming the Dark Lord out of necessity, to prevent a greater evil".
I don't think Han Solo would let anyone kill him, even his own son, for any reason
and the Star Wars movies have always been black or white, you're either a Jedi or a Sith
Can't really bring anything past his descent into the Dark Side to the screen sadly. Because then that's KotoR's area, and RPGs are hard to make into movies because of the ******* of choices.
Did they say KotOR is canon? Because they have the same problem anyway, then, and need to establish what the canon story is, seeing how much choice is in the game. And if not, well then they can pick and choose without interfering with the game, since the games canon will be separate from the main universe, just like the rest of Legends. But mostly, I just want to see them start to pull things from the Old Republic era all together, it was such a bad ass and interesting time, with the Jedi in all out war against the Sith. Speaking of which, its been a solid decade since I played that game, didn't Revan disappear in the end, and its rumored that he uncovered the secrets of immortality? (I know he shows up in the MMO, but what I saw of it kinda killed the character for me).
Anything outside of the movies(1-9 at the end, including spin offs of Rogue 1, Han Solo and Boba Fett movies) Clone Wars show, and Rebels, and a few select books are all non-canon.
And I'm not saying because of canon reasons but because players will be upset that the movie Revan didn't save the Sith on Dantooine, or chose Councilor instead of Knight, so on so forth. It's a fanbase thing.
Yeah, I can understand that, the same reason why you could never really have a Mass Effect movie. There are a couple routes they could take. Look at the data (if it still exists) to see what choices were the most popular, just say **** it and make it how they want, or they could simply say that the events of the games are a separate universe much how the Marvel comic universe is separate from the cinematic universe.
But then you have peo-- Oh wait the only ones that care about Star Wars canon are the nerds who probably played anyway so wouldn't even be muddied by people who didn't play the game.
I honestly can't even remember what choices were on my play through. The only thing I remember was my first time playing, I was very neutral, doing some bad and some good as I felt fit the moment as I usually do with RPGs, and there was one spot I couldn't pass until I had so many points toward the light side or the dark side. Pissed me off. But just the fact that Revan mastered both sides multiple times makes him one of my favorite characters.
You actually have a good point. And at the end, the big dude actually says that Kylo Ren needs to complete his training, so that means there's going to be major character development.
The thing about Sith Lords is the fact that they can use their anger as a weapon. Starkiller, Darth Vader, Revan, Mallik could all use their anger to increase their power. Kylo Ren should know that in order to truly embrace the dark side he can't release his anger
One could argue that he isn't a badass, but is just trying to prove himself to be as good as Vader was. Maybe he's pushing himself to try to make himself feel like he's living up to Vader's legend.
After Darth Maul, Count Dooku, and General Grievous, it's a ******* breath of fresh air to have a villain in Star Wars be an actual ******* character, with strengths intimidating mask/voice, powerful use of the force and weaknesses insecurities about being weak, prone to fits of autistic rage When you have SOME kind of connection with the villain, you become WAY more immersed in the film. I actually wanna see the next one to see where he goes, since he's not just "bad man with red lightsaber"
Grievous was going to have a lot of screentime and backstory but because so much of Episode 3 needed to be cut for time he really wasn't as deep a character as he could have been
And he REALLY could have been
He's tough as hell, he proved that. He's shown he can take a hell of a beating and still keep going. He's just emotionally unstable and still mentally stuck in his teenage stage, so then people look past that and see him as a whiney kid.
Exactly. You can be tougher than a burnt steak, but if your emotionally a 12 year old who isn't capable of emotional intelligence and is a stalker for someone long dead going to the point of wearing a mask to be more like him, most people consider you a whinny bitch.
Eh, it's unbelievably tough by normal standards but bear in mind this is supposed to be a trained Dark Jedi. The fact that it slowed him down that much - enough to do so badly against a Storm Trooper and then lose against an untrained force sensitive who discovered her powers this morning and has never touched a lightsaber - puts him kind of below average for what he's meant to be.
That said I think it's all intentional, on the writer's part, at least. Notice how his name's Kylo Ren - not Darth Whateverhesgoingtobe. He hasn't been made a Dark Lord yet, so I think that he's still to the Sith as a Padawan is to the Jedi. He's lording around acting like he's the boss of everyone, but he still hasn't passed his Sith's mock exams. Essentially he really is just a whiney kid right now, because he has as much to learn about the Sith as Rey does about the Jedi.
The movie was nice, imo, but I cracked up at General Hux' speech before ************** the Republic. Awesome Nurenberg Speech reference. Even the Zeppelin Field was "rebuilt".
