The new harry potter looks good. .. I don't know why, but he is one of the few celebrities that actually seems like a cool person.

which means the marketing scheme his manager made is working out quite well.

Good for them

That's ******* crazy, I literally just ordered this book yesterday! The author is quite good, he has his own unique approach to horror. Also, he's the son of the legendary Stephen King, although he definitely stands on his own merit. I know..cool story bro.

I've actually been waiting for this movie for a while. It's based off the book Horns by Joe Hill. Hill is actually the son of Stephen King and his work isn't all that bad. Definitely pick this one up along with NOS4A2 for anyone who likes a good read you may not like books but I do... **** off
#85 to #42 - BloodAwaits (07/31/2014) [-]
NOS4R2 mate, you made a minor mistake. Heart-shaped box is also good, but it feels like it's one of his earlier books based on the writing style. I just bought 20th Century Ghost, NOS4R2 and Horns for my birthday, looking forward to reading them.

Also, it's really cool, the reason he writes under the name Hill is because he didn't want his success to be based on that of his fathers, and he definitely succeeded in that regard.
User avatar #94 to #85 - chenn (07/31/2014) [-]
Actually it's NOS4A2 in the USA and NOS4R2 in the UK.
By the way, Stephen King himself did a similar thing - he wrote a couple of books under the pseudonym Richard Bachman to see if his fame wasn't just a coincidence. I think the books got quite popular before people learnt that it was him all along. Maybe Joe got inspired and did the same thing, or maybe even Stephen wanted his son to succeed on his own instead of living from his dad's fame.
#95 to #94 - fuckinpikachu (07/31/2014) [-]
On the subject of Richard Bachman...the last piece he wrote as Richard Bachman was called The Regulators. The cool thing about this is that the book was written after Bachman "died" and is set in a parallel universe to a book he wrote as Stephen King called Desperation. If you have both hardcovers they line up to make one big picture
User avatar #96 to #95 - chenn (07/31/2014) [-]
Wow, that's awesome! This only proves what a badass King is. (Not that it needs to be proven, everybody already knows it).
#127 to #95 - BloodAwaits (07/31/2014) [-]
Oh I know mate, I have every single Stephen King, I'm a big fan. I do love the whole personality he's given to Richard Bachman, going as far as to discover books he wrote before he "died", as you've said. I remember in an interview he claimed that these books were being found by Bachman's wife in trunk in the attic. Honestly, of all the King books the Bachman's are some of my favourites, they're somehow even darker then the normal King books.

I also bought Mr. Mercedes along with all the Hill books, so I'm keeping up to date on the collection. I only recently read the Dark Tower series by the way and it blew my mind how he managed to even link himself into his own series. It was one of those wow moments, just so clever.

Also, Locke & Key... one of the best graphic novel series I've read/looked at pretty pictures of. Only 6 books too, so it isn't super expensive to nab the lot of em.

Most British actors do.
The common way for a British actor to sound American it seems is to make their voices gruff and/or growly.
Almost every one does.
