Damn I loved that game, It was like an early version of RDR.
User avatar #14 - leshiggydiggy (03/01/2014) [-]
Geek = crazy about a hobby. (yes, movies/tv shows are hobbies)
Nerd = crazy about academical things.
User avatar #27 to #14 - alexkarino (03/01/2014) [-]
Well technically Nerd can also be someone who is socially impaired or obsessive.
User avatar #48 to #14 - cheesewizard (03/01/2014) [-]
how about dork
User avatar #50 to #48 - headlesspoodle (03/01/2014) [-]
a dork is a whale penis
User avatar #60 to #48 - badmotorfinger (03/01/2014) [-]
dork = loser
User avatar #64 to #60 - cabbagemayhem (03/01/2014) [-]
A dork is an obnoxious, socially inept person that has the negative traits of a nerd or geek, but not the academics or trademark hobby. A loser is someone who tends to lose at whatever he does.
#85 to #64 - anon (03/01/2014) [-]

Me = crazy
#35 to #14 - DudeBro (03/01/2014) [-]
I was always taught it was the other way around. Where you could be a nerd at anything like a lifting nerd or a sports nerd or something. But a geek was someone with a pocket protector and thick rimmed glasses.
User avatar #37 to #35 - hlgrindstaff (03/01/2014) [-]
I never understood the whole glasses and braces nerd stereotype. Is it because huge ass glasses and braces are unattractive? Cause I really don't see how having busted teeth and being blind as **** makes you a geek.
User avatar #89 to #37 - nogphille (03/01/2014) [-]
i think it's primarily because those features would probably make you a social pariah, which would mean you have a lot of spare time to do homework or other non-social, geeky stuff.
User avatar #90 to #89 - hlgrindstaff (03/01/2014) [-]
That makes a lot of sense.
User avatar #63 to #35 - cabbagemayhem (03/01/2014) [-]
Nope, other way around.

We must break up the several names that have been used to someone like the surfers of FJ.

Dork: Someone who acts weird, and is just overall weird and annoying, not smart.
Nerd: Someone who enjoys comics and fantasies such as Star wars, Trek, Final fantasy, mostly very street smart., some have very good book smarts as well.
Geek: These guys are the ones who become rocket scientist, but don't necessarily enjoy a good comic or sci-fi/fantasy movie.

Any others?
User avatar #38 to #25 - sweetjessierose (03/01/2014) [-]
I thought geek and nerd were the other way around? We also had the word 'melvin', which could be used interchangably with dork, and a 'nigel' was someone with no friends/was constantly alone.

**** , kids can be awful!
#4 - anon (02/28/2014) [-]

isn't that momentum? isn't there a difference between force and momentum?
#8 to #7 - anon (02/28/2014) [-]
force = mass x acceleration

momentum = mass x velocity

#10 to #8 - anon (03/01/2014) [-]
Actually force is the time derivative of momentum, and momentum being mass x velocity is an approximation made in newtonian physics, making it equal to mass x acceleration.
#77 to #10 - kingpongthedon (03/01/2014) [-]
Actually you're incredibly wrong.
User avatar #30 - steelwoolsheep (03/01/2014) [-]
but... thats wrong.... force isnt equal to mass times acceleration

F = ma

Yes, it does.

f ma life is what it says
User avatar #33 to #31 - alcantara (03/01/2014) [-]
F isn't "Force" but "Net Force"

Technically he was right... Not that it really matters as most people who know the rule understand Force to equal Net Force.
#39 to #30 - totootwo (03/01/2014) [-]
F = ma + (relative velocity) times (the change in mass)

since mass does not change most of the time we ignore the second part because there is no point to it since mass does not change. relative velocity is the velocity that the mass leaves the system relative to the system.
User avatar #40 to #39 - urinarytractinfect (03/01/2014) [-]
