To be fair, im not an undertale nut or anything, i just really enjoyed the 2 hours ive managed to play the game when off work.

Undertale isn't cancer, the community is.

Ive never played a game like Undertale and DIDNT want to join the community in discussion, its a first. Its sad, but the game doesn't deserve the hate, its the people.

FJ is actually kinda good at receiving challenging opinions from 3rd/alternate parties
and by third parties, I mean the following:
FJ hates feminists (the second party) and loves upvoting conservative and anti-SJW posts (first party). Third party posts which try to dismantle BOTH sides to sort out the ******** regardless of side are also upvoted here.
Reddit is usually bad at this, excluding the excellent /r/changemyview subreddit.
Tumblr is really bad at this.

In United States v. Miller (1939), the Supreme Court ruled that the federal government and the states could limit any weapon types not having a "reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia".

Now I don't claim to be a major anything in regards to the constitution but to my uneducated mind, I believe that means at the very least keeping weapons out of mentally unstable or recurring felons. I would also like to state for the record that the only reason why I don't have a gun is because the Air Force has kept me in Germany and having one is a pain in the ass here. Otherwise I'd love to own one because they're pretty kickass
User avatar #162 to #151 - atonial ONLINE (12/28/2015) [-]
The only problem with the argument for mental health is what diseases disqualify ownership. Autism? Gender Dysphoria? Gun control advocates seem to incessantly claim gun owners are mentally unfit, and (don't quote me on this) there have been studies linking political beliefs to different ways of thought. A group with an agenda could push for such divides to bar gun ownership to one group or the other, claiming that one is mentally ill. While this seems out of the realm of possibility, it is still an action we must keep our eyes on.

Again, the Supreme Court should not have any say in the law besides whether or not an action is constitutional, as it is now we have three sets of legs, no arms nor brains. All we do is move forward, with no clue what is in front of us nor where we are going.

of all the gun homicide rate in america accounts to about 3.5 people per 100,000 people..
so 35 per million and about 300*35= about 10500 people killed by other people via firearm per year... my number is just a little smaller than the actual which is about 11208.

hoooooowever... the number of people who die to gun use is almost twice as large as that... suicide via firearm account for 6.7 people per 100k persons... meaning that about 21,175 people will use firearms to kill themselves

gun violence and the laws around it... eh 11k people dying a year is negligible to a population of over 300,000,000. People should keep their guns and stuff, whatever makes them happy. It's still a wonky system but it can be improved.

The real issues in society if you cared about health, money or obviously the end goal which is to allow people to enjoy their lives in their own ways which should not impose on the lives of others... anyway the most important issues are probably obesity, ciggarettes, the heavy inching forward of automation and job loss due to becoming obsolete, our slowly deteriorating infrastructure and the entirety of the school system being completely ****** in regards to extreme emphasis on testing over more education or even just... free time for kids.

Gun laws are pretty pointless.

Immegrants are different for America and Europe, America receives about 850,000 illegal immigrants from Mexico yearly, more than half.. a bit over 60% are from mexico specifically. They want the ****** jobs that everyone doesn't want to do, also to escape the ****** violence of Mexico. Except now those ****** jobs are the cornerstone to some Americans' wage income.

Anyway. There are currently about 11.7 million illegal immigrants in America this is actually down from a peak of 12 million in 2007. While they should not be here due to... reasons. Like being untracked civilians the state has no record of and that all sorts of cretins can hide among those unchecked.

This is kind of a problem... sorta I don't know.
Honestly the only people who have real and immediate issues with migrants are Europe. The overextended their support and this entire situation can go to **** pretty soon, especially with the rise of heavy right wingers. Whatever that results in.

Trump pretty much exploited the situation in Europe to garner votes from fearmongered peoples.

All of the candidates are mundane and don't seem to offer much.
Hilary Clinton is by far the absolute worst choice in this situation without any doubt.
Berny will increase taxes and invest in fixing our ****** infrastructure, he'll probably try to give or push for education prices and loans to be in favor of the student. Except that that stategy won't work as well today as it might have had due to a saturated market. Though thats just one thing from him.

Trump will stand up for America... over the things that are bad... like uh Russia straight up annexing Ukrainian land after the people revolted due to a ruler who attempted to play to both the eu/nato and russia to get the best for himself and whatever he didn't eat everyone else could have. That sucked, why admire putin?
oh and other note, people think putin had some play in the growth and rise of the russian economy, he did not. Putin inheirited Russia from a drunk being exploited by people who... uh happened to be jews. So a previous communist state suddenly turns capitalist, oh wow look at those growth rates, they must be doing something right. Except that they just transiationed out of a planned ecconomy into a free globalized market and the money now matters. Plus the absolute majority of income for russia is based on their natural resources (gas and oil probably diamonds). Much less emphasis on secondary or tertiary, think something similar to the rich saudi countries.
Honestly and all he did it for was a strategic opening in the black sea through crimea's miliatry docking points.
User avatar #380 to #377 - hanklecram (12/29/2015) [-]
Somehow trump will solve that with an attitude that is probably comparable to Putins

Mostly I just look forward to have a president that is compatible with the senate and trump should find it easier to work with them than obama.

or something, but really none of this matters anyway
even if hilary were to be elected she wouldn't destroy america, it would probably be performing the same but not getting better just stagnant.

it does, but only a little bit. if he included that in his post, people might not place faith in the rest of his argument.
#226 to #172 - anon (12/28/2015) [-]
Please, it exists plenty. Thin privilege, not so much, unless one is talking about it in relation to the "privilege" of being attractive- which does exist more than people talk about, imo. Everyone treats people they find attractive better, it's why you very rarely see very attractive people doing badly.

White privilege in America, yeah, it does. There was that one guy who got more job offers when he said his name was Joe instead of Jose, cops nearly always treat you better. It's not massive, but it's there.

Male privilege, nah. Males and females have different societal advantages and disadvantages, which is why men occupy the highest and lowest rungs of society. The richest people are mostly men, the poorest people are mostly men, and obviously it's way more prevalent in countries that actually do have a patriarchal society.

People ignore the biggest privilege being WEALTH, though. If you're rich, all other privileges or disadvantages are practically null and void.

there is the debatable issue

on one side they want to end racism,. but then on the other side, racism is a persons opinion / free speech about other races, and the people who want to end racism, hate the racist's opinions / free speech

so how would you end racism and protect peoples opinions and free speech at the same time
User avatar #456 to #190 - rakogoki (12/29/2015) [-]
let people believe what they want but keep them from discriminating in ways that effect others? like, you can be all "filthy crackas bleh bleh" no problem, but as soon as a white guy walks into your flower shop you still have to treat em like any other peruser of the floral arts.
User avatar #457 to #456 - chaosraptor (12/29/2015) [-]
well thats kinda the simple thing... when at work you treat them neutrally, you just dont invite them into your home

pretty much how i do it.... i work with a bunch of curries, i dont like them but i keep things civil during work, try to keep conversation with them at a minimum, and all too happy when i finish work and make my distance from them, and if i encounter them in public i try to politely cut it short and move on away from them

i had a couple flatmates move out, and when i put up ads for new flatmates, that even with "prefer asian or european' on the ads ive had mostly curries and a spearchucker call in, i politely say the rooms already taken, and wait for regular people to call me

theres always peaceful ways to be racist
#458 to #457 - rakogoki (12/29/2015) [-]
i only hope you realize racism isnt just some trendy thing thats 'in' right now. try talking with people more, i bet most of those guys were just fine.
User avatar #460 to #458 - chaosraptor (12/29/2015) [-]
well no its not about trendy, its about common sense

through 20 years personal experience around curries and spears, by and large most of them here are either shady or have shady friends/ relative and defend them despite how shady they are

and even the trustworthy ones have a high probability of disgusting personal habits like not washing hands after using the *******
i dont much feel like running the risk of possibly living with Mr Poohands touching everything

so is it really 'racism' or just minimising the risk of losing my property / lowering the risk of illness
User avatar #462 to #460 - rakogoki (12/29/2015) [-]
well then interview the individuals on those points, because after all everyone is an individual. generalizing an entire race and you will miss many opportunities with good people.
User avatar #222 to #190 - emilishous (12/28/2015) [-]
by letting children be open minded and by not rubbing prejudices off on them, the next generation would be racist free with free speech. however, i don't think that can happen.
User avatar #232 to #222 - chaosraptor (12/28/2015) [-]
so kinda like how i did

i was raised neutral yet picked up racism from too many bad experiences with the spearchuckers
User avatar #331 to #232 - emilishous (12/28/2015) [-]
if you think back to when you where a child. do you remember anyone talking down about these "spear chuckers"? if so, they influenced you to think racist of them. (i picked up hate for sand ******* cause i when i was raised, at the time of 9/11, everyone who wore a burka or hijab was called a terrorist or a ninja by my peers.
User avatar #447 to #331 - chaosraptor (12/29/2015) [-]
well no... far back as i remember... there were no 3rd party influences.. it was just growing up in an area that at first had no black people aside from maybe 2 shops run by indians... and over the years as more blacks moved in, most of them were shady *****

so my interactions with spear chuckers as i grew up happened to be the worst of their kind setting the standard opinion of their people
#417 - themilkisdead (12/29/2015) [-]
