A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

Try Freesia. Japan institutes a law that makes revenge murders legal, and an organization is set up to supply people with the means to get revenge. Story follows a guy who works for this organization but is a total sociopath. Not "lolol murder is funny" sociopath, the "talking to himself in a diner" kind of sociopath. Unreliable narrator, vague undertones, weird-ass art, and amazing story. One of my favorite manga.

No to all three, though I'm well aware of Mirai Niki. You have misunderstood me, but I appreciate the effort. I basically meant post-apocalyptic, that focuses on trying to survive (finding food, water, fending yourself off from the dangers of the world).

Some post-apocalyptic anime exists but it's always mecha, no aspect about it is about basic human survival.

Most of those don't get animated, since they rely on psychological factors that aren't carried over well into the animated medium. A really good apocalypse manga is I Am A Hero.

Blue Gender is a pretty good one (I haven't finished it though)

Dude was in Cryo sleep cause he had an Incurable disease, waiting for one to be made.

He wakes up in his pod sometime in the future being carried by a small mech and some soldiers running down the hall, they get attacked and killed by some Giant bugs.

Dude and lone survivor chick of the soldiers have to help eachother survive world of giant bugs while trying to get back to civilization.

It is still ongoing. They went with an anime original ending. In the manga, nobody really died at the execution. Mein just went into a coma and they gtfo'd. That and the MC fused with Incursio, so he can only use it 3 more times before he fuses completely and presumably goes berserk.

I think the mad scientist just wanted his anthro waifu and got mad when the world called him a weeabo... MC also has tough choice of Human waifu or Anthro waifu

If you want an actually decent survival manga to read that's come out recently there's Tenkuu Shinpan where randomly people are whisked to a place of skyscrapers connected only by flimsy bridges and must escape bloodthirsty serial killers in masks or suicide. Then there's Dolly Kill Kill! which involves an alien race of huge humanoid doll-esque monsters that grind people into a pulp and capture them the MC mounts an counterattack years after the invasion.

suicide island is definately up your alley as far as the manga goes. Would be amazing if they made an anime out of it, updates are insanely slow though.


Plot: japan has a huge suicide problem and medical bills to support attempts are expensive, so they send those who attempt suicide to an island where they cant leave but otherwise can do WHATEVER they want. MC finds his will to live by becoming a survivalist and hunter while striving to help others find the desire to live as well. Lord of the Flies ensues.

Yeah unfortunately I had a lot of the plot spoiled for me, but I think they wanted to spend more time on character development compared to the first anime where everything kept happening super fast. I imagine the actual plot will start moving forward in either episode 12 or 13, there have been a lot of hints in some of the more recent episodes.

If you think you wanna watch Coppelion, just don't. I admit, Go-Hands, the producing company, makes beautiful shows, but they apparently just didn't hire a writer for this one. If you want the Go-Hands beauty experience, go watch K. The name is literally just the letter 'K.' I'm not kidding you. It's beautiful graphically and animation wise, it's got a decent story and characters, and an interesting style. Plus the second season either just finished being released, or is very close. I'm kinda not up to date on releases this past month

I know that the one with moe philosophers is 'boku to tsundere to heidegger' and it's a light novel.
left to right: Heidegger, no idea (either Descarte or the main character, but Descare had dark hair in the novel), Spinoza, Hegel, Nietzsche, Kant, Berkley and Hume.
Haven't read it, though. Still waiting for any translation.

When he goes back to modern day Japan, he draws a bestseller. This story is mediocre enough to work.

Mech shows are hit or miss for me, but usually miss. I always felt like I was the only kid who didn't like Gundam. There was no particular reason other than mechs just weren't my cup of tea. I didn't like Big O either (though I feel like I should give it another chance). I really enjoyed Gurren Lagann though.

That's more or less how I felt. I didn't even really like Transformers, for the most part...

I liked Gurren too, but only up until they go into space. That kind of made it meh for me. The very end is also a massive troll.

It's a classic of that specific group, I think. They make the ending of all their shows have something "awful" in it.

Panty and Stocking + Kill la Kill have the same thing going for them.

Panty and Stocking being that Panty is cut up until 666 pieces by Stocking at the very end and Brief + Garter Belt with the demon twins in the background being told by the 'bad guy' that they have to go hunt down all the pieces now and that Stocking was actually a demon in disguise or something. There's no season after that, either.

Kill la Kill is just speculation, but there's heavy hints that Mako is taken over by Nui or disguised as her after killing her off-screen. There's only hints for this, such as Nui holding her finger up to her lips in a 'Shh' during the very last set of credits, but it's right up their alley.

Thing is, it wasn't even played up s being tragic. It happened and then Simon deluded himself into thinking it was for the best. ***** was probably dying on the inside because he never got to smash that sweet Spiral pussy or so I assume .

I agree, mostly because mechs are just a dumb idea. Some of the shows aren't bad, but I'd like it a lot more if they replaced them with tanks or something realistic.

I've always more enjoyed actual people fighting. Swords, sometimes guns, but more so martial arts. Tanks and what not are only okay if it's not too over the top or hyper realistic.

Dunno. It really depended on the show. Like, I enjoyed the first 'half' of Gurren Lagann, but I didn't enjoy the second half when they start going into space. But that might have just been the dialog.

So I think it's mostly space fighting, but then there's like Gundam that makes me feel like I'm just watching cars fight each other.

Code Geass was also kind of... meh. They just all felt awkward and clunky.

I will say the one show on Cartoon Network that had a car that actually turned into a robot was pretty funny, though I don't recall the name, but the robot fights still felt awkward.

first about TTGL, Did you watch the movies? IMO people should watch the first half of the Show, then watch the Second Movie... it tells the story so much better that way.

The show summed up the ending real quick, and the first movie summed up the beginning real quick. It's kind of messed up.

Second. you should try Heroic Age, it's like Anti-Mecha in space.

Quick rundown of the show. Huge Fights, Destroying Planets, lots of things being torn in half.
2 Great intergalactic races, First is the Golden Race of super intelligent beings that decided this universe is too boring so they went to the "Next" one. Second is the Heroic Race... who aren't heroic at all... in fact they are Giant Planet Destroying Monsters who almost destroyed the entire galaxy at one point.

The Golden Race killed most of the Heroic Race except their leaders, who they imprisoned inside of "Guardians" who are representatives of each other race in the Galaxy.

(It's been awhile I probably got these names mixed up)
Silver Race are kind of like elves, total stuck up dicks who like to rule everyone else.
Copper Race are Insectoids who follow the Silver Race
Bronze Race are the Humans who EVERYONE HATES
and there's a couple others, metal names for their races.
