in high school i barrowed literally 3 dollars from a kid and 2 days later he was posting on my facebook wall asking for the money and i said id give it to him a couple days later cus i spent my paycheck on some new **** i forgot about and the next day he messaged me again all pissy and i was like fk it said no im not gonna pay this fool back cus hes bein a dick and we got into a fist fight 1 day 3 days after that when we ended up spotting eachother outside by walmart and i broke his nose jaw and broke his rib and he broke my hand and nose

How you couldn't be responsible enough to set aside $3 is embarrassing.
Then you brake his jaw and rip, which is worse than your poor hand because you can't cast a rip. And the broken jaw is humiliating.

Maybe, he works hard to earn that money. Maybe, he shared with you the little he had because he believed in your friendship, thinking you will reimburse him once you have the money to pay it back. Jesus Christ you are pathetic, your pride is completely misplaced. If you love your family so much you would do well to think about how do you represent them. This isn't about the money, this is about trust. That person trusted you and you failed them, worst yet you didn't pay them back because you were flat out broke, you didn't pay them back because you were inconsiderate and did not care for the trust your friend put in you when he lent you that money.

It makes you and your family look like dishonest thieves, borrowing money without the intention of paying it back. Is that really how your mother has raised you? To be dishonest and to disrespect someone else's hard work?

If they told me they would pay it back, yes. I wouldn't badger them over it, but I would expect it to be paid back. Most of the time though, I wouldn't care. If someone is asking for three dollars, the probably really need it, and I would give them more than that, anyway.
