I use it to directly mount my ISO files. Also, can't you emulate a PS2? Or is it not the same?

you can, but its really bad glitchy and buggy in general. modding a ps2 takes like 10 minutes if you already have the right games.

Doesn't magnet link work somewhat the same way? Or using the TPB browser? (not sure)

A magnet link is a string of text that contains the links to the torrent trackers and the torrent's hash (used to identify the file and find peers on the tracker server). The Pirate Browser (First time I've heard of it) with a bit of research appears to be a repackaged TOR browser stripped down to circumvent censorship and get around blocked websites instead or anonymous surfing. Routing traffic through the TOR network would be like downloading files instead of just using it for secure anonymous browsing. If you have any questions feel free to ask =D.

Tell you to stop pirating or else they'll file a lawsuit against you or hand you over to the authorities or something. I got an email from Telus a couple moths back, nothing serious though, Dark Souls was just seeding.

I'll do my best to try and explain.

When computer games get downloaded by disk there's typically a code you have to enter. Since you downloaded it illegally, you wont have this code.

Daemon tools does this process called "mounting" which to my knowledge, bypasses the code requirement thing.

Of course I could be completely wrong.

You are, sad to say.
When you download a pirated game it usuallly is in the form of a .iso file.
.iso files are basically digital versions of a disk. Not just the data on the disk but also the folder hierchy. Daemon tools lite basically takes that digital disk and puts it into a digital drive, essentially tricking the computer into thinking you inserted a disk into a disk drive. This process is called "Mounting"

I pirate all my games , except the ones that i know I'm into (basically anything made by valve or rockstar) after playing the pirated game for about an hour . If I'm having fun , or i like the story. or whatever , i simply go to steam and buy it. There piracy solved.

Or, you know, game demos.

Would be nice if companies started making game demos.

Which, of course has proven to drastically reduce sales, but

Mayyyyybe stop making average/sucky games and hyping them up as the next evolution in gaming then?

If 18 years of gaming have taught me a lessons , it's that game demos won't show you the flaws of a game. that's why after 500+ hours of playing fallout 3 , i bought in the past steam sale . Just because i know how to get it properly running . If i were to be guided by what bethesda said when FO3 came out . Instead of just frustrated , i would have been out of 60 bucks , and frustrated.

Try 7zip, I use it because it's compatible with a ton of filetypes and it's free.
