It's my favorite RPG. Not just HAL9000, but HAL mixed with GLaDOS and basically every other crazy AI. That AI runs an effectively infinite underground complex working on an effectively socialist system disguised as a capitalist system because the Computer tried to figure out why everything wasn't perfect and could only find old American WWII propaganda bashing communism and decided that communists were secretly making things bad and modeled itself as far from them as possible. The whole world has three common moods, depending on how the players and GM play it. Zany, high-tech, slapstick silliness; dreadful bureaucracy wrapped in red tape; or a nightmarishly efficient Orwellian dystopia.

Well, you kinda need a GM and a party to play with. Also, the Paranoia XP books are no longer in print because the designers are revamping the whole thing in questionable ways. You can get PDFs of the rulebooks through questionable sources.

They're basically all words that mean a mix of a certain personality, ambition, and attitude. The french one being a phrase for something that can't be easily explained. (A certain... I'm not sure what.)
