Batman:the brave and the bold
The show is a bit like the 60's series

This also happened in *SPOILER* Lego Batman 2

I mean... it's kinda a spoiler still

Really I Am Legend predicted a Batman/Superman movie?

Like there's been a dozen times before

I mean he must have been psychic to think that there was a possibility of a move featuring the two most notable DC Heroes EVER
User avatar #18 to #14 - cartrman (11/11/2013) [-]
Maybe what it really predicted was the zombies that would follow a batman-superman movie.
User avatar #19 to #18 - Crusader (11/11/2013) [-]
Never liked I am legend zombies
User avatar #55 to #19 - wishingwell (11/11/2013) [-]
because they aren't zombies perhaps?
- that they can't endure sunlight, would suggest that they were infact a sort of vampires - just like in the books and two other movies

The main reason that movie pissed me off was it pretty much missed the entire point of what was actually a really good book. He's not supposed to save the human race, it's already gone. He is imprisoned and executed for crimes against the new society, and at the end he realizes that he is their legend, basically the bogeyman who murders them while they sleep.

In both versions, the dog dies.

The book was awful. Sorry but you are just like the World War Z faggots. Neither of these books would have made a good movie. Get the **** over it.
User avatar #54 to #50 - wishingwell (11/11/2013) [-]
Yeah there's no reason why there's 3 different takes on this classic horror story, with social-commenting on how everything evolves..

(one of them featuring VINCENT ******* PRICE!)
User avatar #60 to #27 - skeptical (11/11/2013) [-]
I thought it was a pretty good movie

That description makes me want to read the book so bad. Also, didn't know it was a book...
User avatar #53 to #35 - wishingwell (11/11/2013) [-]
Do it - it's very short and it's possible to read it in a day.

- it's the book that inspired the first zombie-lore, and is generally pretty epic, in a let-comment-on-how-sociaty-evolves in a social-realistic-horror.
User avatar #42 to #27 - hargleblarg (11/11/2013) [-]
The film really pissed me off because the book is all about him thinking the creatures out there are vampires, spending hours sharpening stakes because he thought that was the only way to kill them. It also showed how he was essentially a normal guy, but because of the circumstances he became a scientist, he forced himself to learn about his enemy and it showed very real problems about being alone for so long (alcoholism, sexual frustration etc.).

I also think the dog dying was a lot more depressing in the book than the film, because it devotes so much time to him trying to defriend it instead of being a companion that's already there.

The film turned vampires into zombies and gave it a Hollywood ending, completely ignoring the reason the book is called "I Am Legend", that really pissed me off.

Oh, and that woman he meets in the movie... She's not actually a real human, she was sent by the vampires the movie refers to as "darkwalkers" or something, to lead him into a trap, and therefore to his death. There was no kid.

I normally don't care whether the movie follows the book but I Am Legend definitely did not do any justice to the novel.

The Dark Knight Returns is an animated movie. Batman vs. Superman will follow the storyline of The Dark Knight Returns.
User avatar #52 to #22 - wishingwell (11/11/2013) [-]
actually it will only be based on one or two of the chapters (the ones in the ending) - which means the whole dystopian world, politics, etc isn't part of it.

(that's also the reason why the Flash is only rumoured to be in the movie - along with WW and Nightwing.)
User avatar #36 to #22 - JackThePornKing (11/11/2013) [-]
Ah sweet. I didn't know they animated it, I read it ages ago.
