Technically both are just economic systems. What Stalin and Hitler did while flying those flags is the real problem.

But I mean only one side was shoveling people into ovens. I know this site hates communism and Stalin was ******* terrible but there is a reason Hitler is kind of the go to guy for examples of modern evil.

I'd argue Communism is much worse than Nazism simply because it has persisted far longer than the Nazi's ever existed. The Nazi party was found in 1920 and existed until 1945, specifically they were in power from 1933-1945. 12 years where the Nazi party reigned and were able to do what they wanted. Compare that to Communism which existed from 1922-1991 in the Soviet Union, in Communist China from 1949-present, Cuba 1965-present, Vietnam, North Korea, Cambodia, Laos etc. The simple fact that Communism has persisted even after the Cold War makes it the more dangerous and worse ideology. Throw on top of that the fact that you have people who have grown up in Western 1st world Capitalist societies who are delusional enough to fight for Communism, you'd never be able to get away with that if it were Nazism.

**noonesperfect rolled image** Thats what happens when two equally (it can be argued which is worse) bad sides fight a war, only one of them loses. Stalin would be so much more hated had Germany beaten Russia and showed the horrors that had transpired during the Stalinistik terror
