I feel really sorry for that poor woman, but I still had to hold back my laughter at that moment.

who the **** names their kid Richard knowing their last name is Butt.
That's stupider than my friend who has two middle names, BOTH of which are Joesph.

My friend Joseph has two brothers...named Joseph.
They all have different middle names that start with the letter J.
I think the world is just out to get anyone named "Joseph".

lol, that just sounds lazy.
"what should we name the kid?"
"Joseph sounds good"
"What about the other two?"
"Eh, Joesph seems to like his name. let's stick with that."

I think their father's name is Joseph, which explains it and makes it worse at the same time.

Some guy who made the newspaper where I'm from had the name Dick Koch. To make the situation even more funny, he lived in a town called 'Cumming'.

There used to be a congressman from Maine whose name was Richard Sweat, but he preferred to be called Dick.

According to "Behind the Name" Site Richard means "brave power", derived from the Germanic elements ric "power, rule" and hard "brave, hardy". Then if you look up the derivative Dick it says "The change in the initial consonant is said to have been caused by the way the trilled Norman R was pronounced by the English." So I think you're right ^_^
User avatar #34 to #33 - killerliquid (10/23/2013) [-]
Well, "Richard
Rick
Dick " would still make sense to a person who doesn't know how it works.
