That's looks like a canvas hat rather than a fedora.
#62 to #27 - anon (12/27/2013) [-]
Thank god it's a canvas hat! I nearly thought it was a fedora for a minute there, but thankfully it's an entirely different thing. Now I think it's cool.

>Implying that any of the hats associated with fedora neckbeards are actually fedoras.

They're actually Trilby hats.

That's... actually fairly accurate. The friendzone is basically 'Overly-Attached Non-Boyfriend'.

Nobody takes the insane girls seriously until she poisons your food and keeps your dead body in her bed for a year.
#120 to #117 - devexx (12/27/2013) [-]
And even then all that insane girl has to do is cry in court and she gets away with it...

YAY Society!

User avatar #121 to #120 - yuukoku (12/27/2013) [-]
Yeah, they can get away with more because gender roles dictates that they're more innocent than men. Then children are more innocent than women, so they get away with more than women. It's almost like a hierarchy of innocence that our society follows.
#125 to #121 - devexx (12/27/2013) [-]
yeah we're screwed...

its like we've put evolution in reverse where the weak survive and the strong are punished
pic semi-related
User avatar #128 to #125 - yuukoku (12/27/2013) [-]
Well, we've always felt a need to protect the weaker in most cultures. That's where the idea of never killing women or children comes into play. However, in economics and politics, we shouldn't be protecting the weaker because it does drain upon the successful. This is because we have more today than we used to. People began to think that the rich have everything and can solve all their problems, which is wrong. It's like the idea that stealing a pack of chips won't hurt a grocery store because they make enough money to buy more. When everybody does it, that grocery store's gunna be down a little revenue, don't you think?
#132 to #128 - devexx (12/28/2013) [-]
Yeah I agree, it is obviously really important to protect the weak, actually reading my comment I realized I sounded a bit more harsh than intended...
But yeah I get what you mean, I just hope that through the next few decades centuries maybe things flatten out and these flaws in society are fixed...
User avatar #133 to #132 - yuukoku (12/28/2013) [-]
Yeah, it looks like we're going to have to learn the hard way at a certain point. We've begun making mistakes and that's going to have to change if we want to progress in a good way.
#134 to #133 - devexx (12/28/2013) [-]
Yeah if we don't flatten it out our selves something will probably happen and we'll go "oh **** we did something wrong..." dunno what but yeah you get the point
User avatar #135 to #134 - yuukoku (12/28/2013) [-]
Oh, yeah. I get the point. Like pretending that there's an infinite amount of tax dollars to throw out?

overly attached boyfriends are ether refered to as creeps or stalkers
User avatar #95 - theimmortalbeaver (12/27/2013) [-]
It's quite likely a form of wish fulfillment. Given the sheer amount of lonely dudes on sites like this, an overly attached girlfriend would probably feel like a dream come true for many of us. This is just a guess, but it makes a certain amount of sense. I'd also submit that most of the ladies on this site don't seem quite as desperate, at least in my experience.
#98 to #95 - lardking (12/27/2013) [-]
i don't know... an overly attached girlfriend sounds nice at first. but then she castrates you so "only she can have the D" i am uber beta male; don't take my word for it
User avatar #99 to #98 - theimmortalbeaver (12/27/2013) [-]
I didn't say that an overly attached GF would be a good thing, just that a lot of people think that it would be great. Just read the comments on any of those posts. "This actually sounds kinda romantic." Don't get me wrong, I'm ridiculously beta as well, so I'm not meaning to make fun of anyone, but it seems likely that this is why we have Overly Attached Girlfriend instead of Overly Attached Boyfriend.

well men are jailed for stalking and such at a much higher rate simply because they are male so technically it is sexism. Of course much of this is due to rampant demonizing of men and fear mongering by ardent feminist organisations in order to increase government funding.

im not overly attached i just hate change so much. ive been trying to break it off with my girl for the last month or so. as soon as i think im going to im like"...yeah maybe ill just wait...or not do it" she isnt really a bad girl she just is a little immature and not very smart. she doesnt learn from her mistakes

for most people, feelings are fleeting.
they aren't for me.
if i fall in love with a girl, and she dumps me, i'm still in love with her half a year later, even if we only were together for a month.

User avatar #37 to #36 - trollmobile ONLINE (12/27/2013) [-]
dumped 2 months ago by girlfriend of 9 months.
not a single change in how i feel.
you'd expect at least a slight decrease in love after 2 months of little to no contact, but i spend about 6 hours a day thinking about her.

User avatar #86 to #50 - messerauditore (12/27/2013) [-]
I know how you feel man. I'm 19 as well, and I was with a girl for a year and a half (and a month), and we split up in October because she "couldn't explain why, but she just stopped loving me one day" (this was during the last month where she had cheated on me with multiple people of both genders). I ******* despise her, but part of me refuses to let her go. I saw her as my everything. Now I'm trying to talk to someone new, but even I can tell how clingy I'm getting, most likely out of fear of being cheated on again.
User avatar #53 to #35 - reaperssprint ONLINE (12/27/2013) [-]
Yea, my girlfriend had a boyfriend like that right before I met her. She had been going out with him for about 5 months, and broke up with him before coming to college because she simply didn't feel anything for him anymore. The guy kept bugging her, once I started going out with her she told me about it. I let it go for a bit, but the guy started telling her **** trying to get her to come back to her. I told him that she simply didn't have any feelings fr him and that if he actually cared for her he'd leave her alone and stop hurting her. He hasn't said anything since, so I guess it got through to him.

TL'DR You have to let go. Not for you, but for them. All you end up doing is hurting them by staying attached.
User avatar #56 to #53 - trollmobile ONLINE (12/27/2013) [-]
i'm trying.
and i'm not bothering her.

i stay away from her for her sake, but that doesn't make it any easier for me to handle for myself.

i like how jeff foxworthy talks about "bad boys." he said something along the lines of "when a woman talks about wanting a bad boy shes thinking of james bond, but in real life when a woman gets with a bad boy you usually see him on cops getting taken away while the woman is standing at the door yelling to bring him to jail" not really the same as being overly attached but they lead to the same place
