Right Now Here in Canada there is a Radical Feminist Advocacy Group that is demanding the Supreme Court Release 25 Female killers "most of which have multiple victims including their own children" On the Grounds that these women Claim they were "Verbally Abused and that made them kill so they are innocent " Of course there is absolutely no proof these women were abused at all. But the Group of Feminist Lawyers maintain "Women don't lie so it must be True, they were abused ".

Wait just a second. I'm Canadian and I haven't heard of anything like this. Although, I've been busy keeping updated with the Rob Ford stuff and the First Nations people living in third world conditions... Is what you say true?

If so, holy **** . We're not looking too good in the public eye, right now/

Me Too but it's up to the supreme court and they are pretty corrupted by the feminist lobby's money. So I'm not holding my breath.

I am a female, and I cannot stand this so called feminist movement going on, with their "stop slut shaming" "rape culture" blah de ******* blah. Honestly if we want to be seen as "strong independent women who don't need no man" we need to stop dissecting every damn thing to cry sexism and rape, because it has become ridiculous. A huge whiny - bitch - nado. Feminist movements should be going on in countries where women truly have it ****** , not first world areas like Canada and the states.

User avatar #100 to #63 - wildberk (12/03/2013) [-]
Actually the current feminism shares the same ideas as that, but with an emphasis at analyizing current social, phillosophical, and political implications and breaking them down in to a modern context in addition to bringing up a greater scope of problems that typically haven't been addressed by traditional thinking methods in an effort to improve all aspects of life.

Right now a humanist structure is unable to work as there are too many problems that need to be addressed and discussed at the moment. However feminisms goal (Which by the way has a large amount of males driving all the theoritical work) is to address said problems. I would honestly give a good read on Alison M Jagger. Her work is slightly outdated, but it gives a good perspective on the current issues feminism is trying to address.

I hope this was informative.
User avatar #99 to #51 - wildberk (12/03/2013) [-]
I agree with the movement to other countries where it is needed.

However I disagree that the current feminist movement is bad. It's honestly some really cool work that is being done. In fact most feminist studies is that they are now usually called social philosphy as the new movement is geared towards exposing implicate bias towards all people and addressing them and how we can become aware of our differences in a positive manner. I do agree that the news press worthy feminists are not only extreme, but also defeating the purpose of feminism. In all honesty I feel like they are using the banner of feminism so they can make their morals "congruent" or at least relativistically "justified" but ultimately defeats all the hard work that has been occuring over the last 50 years or so.

How many feminists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

One to screw it in,
one to excoriate men for creating the need for illumination,
one to blame men for inventing such a faulty means of illumination,
one to suggest the whole "screwing" bit to be too "rape-like",
one to deconstruct the lightbulb itself as being phallic,
one to blame men for not changing the bulb,
one to blame men for trying to change the bulb instead of letting a woman do it,
one to blame men for creating a society that discourages women from changing light bulbs,
one to blame men for creating a society where women change too many light bulbs,
one to advocate that lightbulb changers should have wage parity with electricians,
one to alert the media that women are now "out-lightbulbing" men,
one to just sit there taking pictures for her blog for photo-evidence that men are unnecessary.

I reckon women (mainly feminists) are better at it because the whole world seem to not only believe their ******** but also support it. I understand that what a woman wears doesn't necessarily affect the likelihood of rape but the whole bigotry rhetoric of painting men as potential blood thirsty rapists is not only sexist but it goes one step further into misandry. I don't know any misogynistic comments which are taken seriously by society so I say women win on this one.

Since the rise of feminism women have been just as good at being sexist if not even better
User avatar #88 to #79 - riathewolf (12/03/2013) [-]
No, not feminism. The "feminists" you're referring to are sexist women. True feminism is just us wanting to be equal to men, not better than them
#90 to #88 - implication (12/03/2013) [-]
Because of people like you, first world "feminism" still exists.
**** off, feminism is a hate group, a puppet made by liberals to circle jerk misogyny. This was clearly demonstrated by feminists when they raided a MRA conference and made nazi references and promoted hate speech.
pic related, feminism has always been about privileging women.

Women's rights activist != feminist
User avatar #91 to #90 - herbolifee (12/03/2013) [-]
What you're referring to is the Feminazi's. I know they think they're feminists but they're not, and this doesn't make them so. Look, I can call myself a cat but I'd still be a human.

Feminism = women's rights activists
Feminazi's = angry american lesbians
#92 to #91 - implication (12/03/2013) [-]
If you support feminism then you support feminazis.
If you support women's rights then that's cool.
#93 to #92 - herbolifee (12/03/2013) [-]
fem·i·nism (fm-nzm)
1. Belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes.
2. The movement organized around this belief.

A feminazi is NOT a feminist. End of.
#94 to #93 - implication (12/03/2013) [-]
I do not care what a dictionary says about a group, I care what the group's actual ideologies are and what they have been doing for humanity, that is why I have realized that feminism is a hate group.
I don't start pulling back when you say nazis are a hate group. Feminism wants equality just as nazis want racial purity, but what matters is what they do to achieve their goals.
User avatar #95 to #94 - herbolifee (12/03/2013) [-]
What you describe is maybe 2% of feminism, which I reffer to as feminazi's. It's different. What you're doing is like calling all muslims terrorists.
#96 to #95 - implication (12/03/2013) [-]
That 2% has done enough damage to observe they are a hate group and need to go away. That 2% of feminists are a 100% of the feminists here in the first world, where they are causing damage the most.
You raise a point, but instead of focusing on feminism, we need to focus rather on human rights.
User avatar #97 to #96 - herbolifee (12/03/2013) [-]
I agree on the damage part. All I'm saying is, you shouldn't blame all of feminism for it. The other 98% does good work imo. I don't know if you were, but that's what it looked like anyways.
User avatar #109 to #93 - timmywankenobi ONLINE (12/03/2013) [-]
yet the true"feminists institutions" offer the femanazi's full support including funding and a web of anonymity to hid in. Your True feminists are in bed with the femanazi's. Until I see feminists institutions publicly reject the radicals and cease funding or aiding them in any way. I will have to assume they are one and the same , 2 faces of the same hypocritical beast.
User avatar #98 to #93 - ichbinzweijahrealt (12/03/2013) [-]

Women should learn their place, men are obviously better at most things and that's a fact and there's nothing they can do to change that. I'm not saying we should treat them bad or anything but they are not our equals
