self pity

CERTAINLY THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE VICE THAT A PERSON
CAN HAVE, MORE THAN PRIDE, WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY THE
NUMBER ONE OF THE CARDINAL SINS TVV
SELF -PITY
WI LL DESTROY
RELATIONSHIPS.
IT IS SO SIMPLE
TO IMAGINE THAT
ONE IS HARD
DONE AND THAT
THINGS ARE UNFAIR.
THINK’ WOULD
HAVE GONE BETTER.
AND THAT' S
WHAT THE
BOOK
WOULD BE.
AND IT
WOULD
w, TRUE.
IT WILL
DESTROY ANYTHING
THAT' S GOOD.
I ALMOST
WANTED ONCE
To PUBLISH
BOOK
SAYING...
AND PEOPLE WOULD BUY
THIS HUGE BOOK TVV
IT SOUNDS LIKE
OH, THAT' S SO
SIMPLE."
IT' S BLOODY HARD.
IT WILL FULFILL ALL
THE PROPHECIES IT
MAKES AND LEAVE
ONLY ITSELF.
AND THAT IF ONLY ONE
HAD A CHANCE AT THIS
OR IF ONLY ONE HAD
A CHANCE AT THAT...
AND THE FIRST PAGE
WOULD JUST SAY...
BUT, OF COURSE,
IT' S NOT SIMPLE TO
STOP FEELING: SORRY
FOR YOURSELF.

Its a simple answer but unless you find the answer yourself, it doesn't matter how many times you hear it from others. It wasnt until 5 years later after i practically lost everything that i found that answer. Finding the answer is only the beginning though, actually doing something about it and staying committed is the next challenge.

So you finally know why do kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

Knowing the answer doesn't help you in the slightest. It's like quoting smart people. It's useless if you only repeat it.

You need to understand it, have come to grasp the complete meaning of it.

It does help if you're angry enough to go ' **** you, I aint going down without a fight.' and almost violently throw yourself at your problems.

It worked for me at least.

Yeah, sure when Stephen Fry says it is's all philosophical and **** , but when I tell people to stop being little bitches, I'm suddenly an asshole.
User avatar #10 to #7 - sladee (01/10/2016) [-]
It's the way you say it.

Sugarcoating everything is the reason so many people are fat, self-loathing slobs, so I tend to avoid it.
User avatar #12 to #11 - sladee (01/10/2016) [-]
Oh no i dont mean sugar coating **** , just avoid any straight up insulting while keeping the point of them letting themselves be **** standing.
User avatar #13 to #12 - thechosentroll (01/10/2016) [-]
They ARE little bitches, though. I'm just stating facts.
User avatar #14 to #13 - sladee (01/10/2016) [-]
**** yeah they are, but insulting them when they are already self aware of their ********** wont help either. Try using fancy words so they dont understand they are being called little bitches when that's what's actually happening.

You sound like you're being edgy for the sake of being edgy.

There is though love, then there is just insulting people to the point they won't want help.

though love?

It as come to the point that a logical assertion is seen as offensive. Sometimes people need a good insult to get back right on track. But welcome to 2016 the year were feelings will takeover logic. While europe burns thanks to political correctness.

Only half of it. I'm from the half that the fire decided to go around, because we don't have decent benefits.

My gf who ive dated for 8 years left me on thursday.
Im in a dark and lonely place.
This helps a bit.

I feel your pain brother. Recently i stopped associating myself with my best friend (and my only friend) who ive known for over 10 years and was like family to me. Your not alone, so let us feel together.

Many of us know that feel mate. For a little while, regardless of what others tell you to make you feel better, you'll feel down. Time is the best remedy, I wish you luck in your quest.
PS: You could try watching The Office, it's funny and might slightly cheer you up. It also has 8-9 seasons so there's a lot of material.

You were lucky to have one for so long, but this just proves you are destined to have an even better one. Go out and find the better, learn and improve.

I've had that myself, seven years. My recommendation is to go back and enjoy some stuff you liked without them, like some childhood games or something. Then, start making new memories, watch some of those movies you planned to but never got around to. Download some theater comedy or some new music.

It's not easy, but you need to establish that they weren't your entire life, and there's always been things that have been just about you, your personal moments and memories.

I used to be fat as **** , then I started drinking nothing but water, which actually helps a lot, I dont know science but im guessing 3 12 packs of mountain dew a week wasn't very good for me, and sitting on my ass all day. After I lost about 120 pounds, I still sit on my ass and play video games all day, at least now Im fit as **** .
User avatar #5 to #3 - castereleven (01/09/2016) [-]
It wasn't so much that you were drinking mountain dew instead of water but rather you were having over 6000 calories of mountain dew a week.
User avatar #19 to #5 - captchakid (01/10/2016) [-]
That'll do it.

happiness isn't an endgame. you don't learn how to be happy and then go on to be happy for the rest of your life. happiness is achieved by defeating all of your demons. the problem is that demons rarely leave forever, and when they do, they'll get replaced by something else. and it always happens when you're least expecting it. one day you'll be completely happy and fulfilled with all of your **** in the right place, and then one day you'll just wake up entirely lost and unsure of what you want to do for the rest of your life. that's how it's happened for me. it's a cycle and i doubt it'll ever end.

This is of course barring people who have been conditioned that way since childhood.

Some stains can't be washed out, if you get my meaning
User avatar #34 to #26 - dreygur (01/10/2016) [-]
If the stain on your shirt can't be washed off, throw it away and get a new one. Become a completely new person if small improvements won't do.
#2 - anon (01/09/2016) [-]
yea because it's a choice right?
