I'm telling ya tie, if Ozzy dies next we need to riot.

All our immortal British guys are dying and this is not cool.

Celebrity deaths come in threes. Get ready
User avatar #28 to #27 - anametoremember (01/12/2016) [-]
Scott Weiland died not long ago too. There's your three.
User avatar #35 to #28 - theugandanhero (01/12/2016) [-]
I was too quick to comment to see what you already said.
I will stand by our comments however, and only hope I can be forgiven
User avatar #34 to #27 - theugandanhero (01/12/2016) [-]
Scott Weiland, remember?
I think the three's are done for now.

As unanimous this might be, space oddity will always be my favorite
User avatar #7 to #3 - joshlol [OP](01/11/2016) [-]
I think jean genie is my personal favourite bowie song

it's hard to pick a favourite though
User avatar #8 to #7 - twixtor (01/11/2016) [-]
Just an amazing artist through and through. He will not be forgotten.
User avatar #20 to #3 - gowge (01/11/2016) [-]
I'd say either Space Oddity or Rock and Roll Suicide
#11 - anon (01/11/2016) [-]
He is not dead, he has simply changed his appearance so that he can go live a normal life
#29 - Jeff C (01/12/2016) [-]
This reminds me of Hurt by Jonny Cash, man the feels are real. They must have known.. I can't claim to have been a Bowie fan before today, but now that I've listened to a few songs and remembered a few that I did, my mom was a big Bowie fan and played some when I was little I can appreciate his realness. RIP David Johnny Cash - Hurt HD 720p

I never really liked any of his music, but goddamn did I respect him and what he did.

it's the terror of knowing what this world is about, watching good friends screaming "get me out!"

All attention whoring fags.
User avatar #33 to #19 - dierdred (01/12/2016) [-]
says the attention whore who has to bitch and whine about people caring.
User avatar #40 to #33 - tittylovin (01/12/2016) [-]
Which I wouldn't do if there wasn't gay-ass content like this to inspire me.
Cause and effect.
User avatar #44 to #40 - dierdred (01/12/2016) [-]
I rather fail to see your point. You could have just as easily ignored this and walked along, but instead, you chose to bitch and whine. To be honest, youre the attention whore here, who came here looking for an argument.
User avatar #48 to #19 - theugandanhero (01/12/2016) [-]
But in my humble opinion, it's the people that aren't whoring for karma/thumbs that truely respected him.
User avatar #36 to #14 - theugandanhero (01/12/2016) [-]
I can't say I've seen anyone say that celeb deaths don't matter to them, to me it just seems like you're trying to provide yourself with a false argument.
*shrugs*

Listening to the new record now. He knew he was going to die, and this record is his dying monologue.
#43 - goodadventures ONLINE (01/12/2016) [-]
Of course he was one of your favourites, as well as everyone else's for the next few days or till the next big celebrity death.

Until then let's all pretend we loved his music and it helped us through some heavy **** while spamming "RIP" on anything David Bowie related.
User avatar #46 to #43 - isradam (01/12/2016) [-]
Nah bruh we're just sad because more and more of the great artists are dying way too fast.
In less than two years we lost Christopher Lee, Leonard Nimoy(nemoy?), Satoru Iwata, Omar Shariff, Bam marguera's dad (ok maybe not an artist), lemmy from Motorhead and now freaking David Bowie.

User avatar #49 to #43 - otisriedel (15 hours ago) [-]
lol this guy says it and no hate but the guy a few comments above you says it and he's pinkied into oblivion.
User avatar #31 - trisketthebiskit (01/12/2016) [-]
the song makes me even more sad
User avatar #37 to #31 - theugandanhero (01/12/2016) [-]
Powerful, isn't it?
I wept this morning for him when I heard the news. It's crazy that a single man of artistic fashion and musical prowess has the ability to make people do that.
RIP Ziggy, the universe is having a starlight vigil for you
User avatar #38 to #37 - trisketthebiskit (01/12/2016) [-]
star men dont really die. they just return to the night sky
User avatar #22 - machiavellianhumor (01/11/2016) [-]
im just here wishing his death was by someone stabbing him with a bowie knife
User avatar #50 - otisriedel (15 hours ago) [-]
i don't understand the logic behind getting so upset about someone you've never met. i mean, people only care about celebrity deaths because they made content that was enjoyed and now they can't make the content anymore so people act like their grandpa just died when they hear about it. nobody cares about the villagers that are terrorized by al-shabaab. these people live in dirt, starvation, disease, and rampant crime, and die the same way. but **** them some famous person who i only know about because i listen to their music and read a wikipedia page about died, this is the real crisis. i can't tell if it's attention-whoring or just stupid priorities. probably both. don't get me wrong, i like david's music, but i also realize that he's simply a single person that i have never met and have no personal connection with, just like everyone else on FJ. there are bigger issues that you would all laugh about but when this single person who you really don't know at all dies, you act like your entire world just caved in on you. **** , bowie isn't even his real last name. it's jones. david jones. generic as **** .
User avatar #45 - vlauer (01/12/2016) [-]
goddamn it, the song made me cry like a bitch, were never a great fan of his but I respect his legacy, rest in peace
User avatar #30 - cheeseybagle (01/12/2016) [-]
This one's hit me a lot harder than Lemmy, Bowie was played throughout my childhood thanks to my dad being a massive fan and me becoming one.

Can't think of many others that have been amazing for four decades.

Weird fact but I lost my virginity with a bowie song playing in the background.
#25 - daveprodigy (01/12/2016) [-]
Holy **** the radio in the other room JUST started talking about this and its the first I'm hearing of it.
Rest in peace you glorious bastard
