well, the usual rule that tends to keep you safe is:
"if you don't know what you're doing, don't do anything. Have it done by someone who knows, then you'll know better"
I don't like that advice, you don't learn. My advice would be go find information where it can be trusted, not funnyjunk. And if its already broken try to fix it yourself, either you **** it up and learn a little or you've fix it and learned a lot.
Well, when i said "have it done" i didn't mean "drop it off and go take a piss while he does it", but more like "go have it done, observe, ask, and remember how to properly do it.
I should've specified that, yeah. Sorry.
But i don't agree with just trying to fix something if you don't know what you're doing, it could easily turn a 20min effort into a 2h and 1.5k$ effort
The first time I tried to fix an iPhone 4 I knew nothing about the internals except for a tutorial on youtube, it took me just over 3hrs and it still didn't work, the second time it took me 2.5 hrs but worked. Now It takes me 30 minutes and have learned so much. I've spent days trying to fix computers before finding out the problem. I also said already broken that way it shouldn't cost 1.5k I can fix almost anything because of my way of thought.
Yeah, but maybe its just me, but i'm a complete jackass if i can't watch someone completely do it, or be guided through the process once. Like changing oil, checking it, replacing coolant, refilling the windshield water thing, jumpstarting, towing, etc.
I dont know what the exchange rate is, but if a CHF is close to a canadian dollar then that's not what I'm talking about when I say cheap car, I'm talking 400 bucks, and I usually run it for a year then sell it. Sucks not always having a reliable car but you sure learn a lot about cars after owning junkers for a few years
i was wavering on the first one, because what are spikes but some metal in the tire. but the other "tips" gave it away. i dont know **** about cars but letting the motor run and draining oil or to substitute coolant with water just did sound like ********
Ethylene glycol (car coolant) is an alcohol with a very low freezing point, and it also lowers the freezing point of water. It lowers the freezing point of water so low actually, they use it in almost any car in any environment because they know theres only like 3 places on the planet it could possibly freeze.
If you are a man, have a car and one once of knowledge you should know about such stuff and yet dont know **** , its time to ask your father, uncle or any decent manly figure you know for a few questions about car maintenance ! gonna be of good help for ya
as i said "decent" oc the retard are gonna do it . If you are a man, have a car and one once of knowledge you should know about such stuff. if you fill all those requirement and yet dont know **** , its time to ask your father, uncle or any decent manly figure you know for a few questions about car maintenance !
Well i dont care about cars much. I drive one to get to work and stuff but thats about all i do related to cars. If something is not working my girl fixes it, she´s a mechanic, sorta her thing.
you dont need to be a mechanic to know basic maintenance, like oil change, tire and bla bla bla. it's like everything you should help yourself and learn a bit can help you a lot in the future car are expensive and well maintained car cost less.
i hope you aint thumbing me down as anon like a fag
nah im not a douche dont worry And yea, i mean i can do an oil change but thats about it. But if it comes to other things i usually do the cheap porn version of repairs. Opening the hood and looking inside while waiting for my girl to come home.
Knowing how to change a tire to a spare is both incredibly easy and a very valuable skill. Being stuck on the side of the road waiting for your girl or for roadside assistance sucks like nothing else. It seriously is very easy. Get her to show you how sometime if you don't want to look up a tutorial.
I have no idea about car as well but screws in tires is just something a retard would thing is a good thing and i was sceptical for the rest of the post
Don't wanna be "that guy" but some people don't have the opportunity to learn **** about their car because they don't have a dad or some **** . Anyways, don't do any of this PLEASE. you'll **** up your car
I feel like a lot of this is common sense though. No one taught me about cars, I didn't even know where to put wiper fluid for the longest time but I can still figure out why putting screws in your tie is a bad idea.
**ceramicgreyhound used "*roll picture*"** **ceramicgreyhound rolled image**My other car has like 135,000 so if we average them together i got 2 70,000ish cars so we're equal now.
Well in my City, Whale Vagina, we actually have plenty of water since we've been trying to move away from the rest of the sate's main supplier since they were ******* us. We'll also have largest desalination plant in the western hemisphere in 2016.
