Well I see more comments making fun of it. In fact, I've only seen a troll posting 1 so far. I don't think anyone even dares making a comment like that because they get ridiculed and compared to neckbeards. Well, besides trolls.

That... would actually be a good concept for a story.

A group of people inside a room, but in reality is purgetory, and one by one each person is able to leave the room. But while they stay inside they talk to eachother, but the twist is that one is actually god who is survaying the people inside, and deciding their fate whether to go to heaven, hell, or come back to life. But no one in the room don't know god is inside.

Actually it would be Purgatory, since you have to earn your way into heaven. (Traditionally through hard labor.)

Limbo is the area between live and death. (Like the side of a coin, with head and tails being heaven/earth.)

I'm guessing it wasn't on purpose, in which case I still want to say that you need to stop being influenced by idiots. Nice plot though, I know of similar things but nothing quite like it.

There isn't.

However, there's no solid evicende that completely disregards (completely and without a ny room left for doubt) the existence of a deity.

Except we don't ever actually disprove a claim by giving evidence against it's existence, we actually disprove the evidence for the affirmative.

If there is no evidence for the affirmative then there exists no real justifiable claim, so we revert to non-belief until evidence is found.

That's the entire point of Faith, though. Believing what you don't see. It's the basis for most of religions. Of course, it's not exactly a progressive move, but I don't see what is inherently wrong with that. After all, it's people that twist the basis for religion rather than the religion itself.

Again, as I've said before, there's no evidence that God doesn't exist. However, I won't blame you for not believing since you haven't given no scientific proof that he actually says (which the same goes for me, but I acknowledge that I do not have the extensive knowledge to refuse his existence).

I'm not saying that he exists, just that we don't know.

(08/24/2014) [-]
I agree there's nothing wrong with faith, however I will say it's a very ignorant method for determining reality.

I'm not claiming gnosticism, however the lack of evidence for his existence is in itself evidence to justify a stance of non-belief until some is presented. We don't know, that is true and very clear, however I'm arguing against the "We don't know, but I believe god exists" stance because it is a non-sequitur.
#71 to #67 - theghostrider
Reply 0
(08/24/2014) [-]
I've never taken that stance as I stated in my earlier reply. I don't believe in a God because no proof hasn't been shown to me of his existence.

Which shows the lack of real evidence of religion to prove their deities. There's a reason of why the number of atheism increases. I'm just pointing out the obvious fact here: We don't know.

Which is enough for some to actually believe. You can't take away from them what you can't proof. That is their reasoning, not mine.
