If you lived in america you might understand

Only if your mind has been opened.
In most communities its illegal to do anything to your front yard that isn't grass or some other form of landscaping.

Wait, you can´t do what you want with your own ******* front-yard? What the **** ? why?

To live in certain communities you must abide by certin rules EX; Kepp the grass cut, minimal weeds, no broken down cars in the yard. That sort of thing.

And having pretty grass is usually mandatory (think about all that water money being collected) unless you can convince them to let you use some other form of landscape.

I could do this to my backyard because its out of public sight. Never in my front.

Land of the Free and all that, what? Sounds pretty damn boring, imo, every house looking kinda the same.

As a Coloradan, we have pretty much free steer of our yards. In my particular community, the only real strict rule they have is that you have to have at least 2 trees planted on your property (You have to plant a new one upon moving in, and there's at least one already there) and we have water restrictions because of the fires. But we have prickly pear cactus, 2 pine trees, several burning bushes and a **** tonne of flowers. Less than 50% of the yard is grass, and grass is nice because it's easier to maintain than other **** .

Yeh, I mean, Germany is already way, way too hard on restrictions, but hell, that´s just ridiculous.D If somebody told me I couldn´t grow what I want in my frontyard, I´d probably send him to the next asylum for a check.

If you have property out of the city, on county land. it will probably be fine.
