Cars had a love story.

I think they mean that the love story is a side thing. It isn't important to the story.

i guess it could be equally argued to just be a friendship story

pic unrelated but necessary

Cars and Ratatouille have noticeable love stories you could argue Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and UP. I think the only Pixar movie without a noticeable or side love story is the first Toy Story and maybe the third but the third still had that fling with ken and barbie so idk on that one.
#21 to #9 - Rascal (07/22/2014) [-]
True, but those were sideplots, not the main focus.
#13 to #9 - Rascal (07/22/2014) [-]
I agree with some of them but Ken and Barbie is definitely not considered a "love story in Toy Story" they aren't important enough. Buzz and Jessie would be considered the love story. Even Woody and Bo Peep.

Actually the Mila Kunis thing isn't entirely accurate. When they asked how old she was, she said I'll be 18 on my birthday. DIdn't say which birthday.

If Curiosity plays music but nobody is around to hear it, did it make a noise? Certainly piques my . . . Curiosity.

No love story for Pixar?

What the hell was Wall-e, then?
User avatar #59 to #53 - Zeigh (07/22/2014) [-]
Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille and Up all had romances as well, the key point being is that the romance was irrelevant to the plot, it was just character development.
User avatar #61 to #59 - Spavaloo (07/22/2014) [-]
Wall-e was almost exclusively a love story, though. The rest of the plot was essentially just a frame for the Wall-e/Eve romance.

What do you mean silent reading? Like people were incapable of reading something in their head without saying it out loud? I call ******** .

And what constitutes a single "beach"? The entire continent is enclosed in coastline...
#136 to #18 - Rascal (07/22/2014) [-]
This is a bit twisted actually. Few could read and they wanted to show off so they moved their lips while reading. Therefore silent reading (not showing vocal or motorical signs of reading) wasnt usual and didnt develop

Pixar has no love stories?
A Bugs Life: Flik and Atta
Toy Story: Woody and the Bo Peep
Toy Story 2 (or 3?): Buzz and Jessy
Monsters Inc.: Sully and Celia
Cars: Lightning and Sally
Ratatouille: Linguini and Collette
...

u wot m8?
User avatar #84 to #77 - thebaseballexpert (07/22/2014) [-]
I think they mean love interests central to the story. And of those, only 2 actually fit the central love story theme: Cars and Ratatouille. though I could exclude Ratatouille too, because the Linguini-Colette isn't the central focus of the movie, the mouse cooking is.

what do we see with the rest of Disney? Belle and the Beast, Pocahontas and John Smith, Aurora and Prince Charming, Ariel and Erik, not to mention many more. but all those movies had a love story that actually was critical to the story.

I meant that the entire story doesn't revolve around the relationship even though it's a pretty ****** important part of the story .
User avatar #73 to #55 - organiclead (07/22/2014) [-]
None of the Pixar movies revolve around the relationship, but love stories are still present in all of them.
