Deadpool's full of feels.
The above picture came from the issue where all of Deadpool's "friends" banded together to kill him.
He killed all of them.
Except for Bob.
Deadpool actually cares about Bob.

he wants to die in a memorable way, man. That's why he delays it - not because he really wants to live, but because he wants his death to rock.

There's a torrent for the complete collection.
You'd need CBReader or something like that, but it's a good place to pick up the comics.

Pic related. It's a recent comic series that just ended it's run a few months ago (it was a short series but ******* fantastic). It's called Age of Ultron, and in the series, Ultron (who is an ultra intelligent A.I.) was able to clone himself into thousands upon thousands upon thousands of Ultron bots who were all very powerful, and they utterly destroying every thing, and every one in site. And those who they could not kill, were severely crippled. Those who died were Hulk, Red Hulk, Luke Cage, She Hulk, Thor, Black Panther, The Thing, The Human Torch, Mr.Fantastic, Taskmaster, Captain Britain, and MANY others. Like, seriously a **** ton of heroes (and villains) ******* die, and it's heart wrenching (especially the death of the fantastic four members, I was almost in tears). In this picture, Iron Man takes Hawk Eye and Superior Spider-Man to see "The Leader" which is Cap (because he is the leader and head of the Avengers) to discuss a plan, and they open the door, and find Captian America like this. Broken, defeated, and just...tired...tired of fighting..tired of letting his friends die...all the innocents, all of the life, just die right before his eyes, and he could do nothing to stop it. I had to put my comic down and breath deeply just to stop myself from crying because it hurt so god damn much, man. I'm fighting tears just writing this.

Well tbh i'v never online downloaded a comic for free (I usually just go to comic shops and get physical copies) so i'm not totally sure a good website but I googled it and it came up with this and it LOOKS right. But I could be wrong idk i'm sorry if it's wrong
It really is a great read though. The main story is only 10 issues long but there are a few side story arcs that tie in with AoU

but give it a shot m8

How many books were there? I was in a comic book store trying to explain what I knew of the plot to my girl (just the first few parts or so) and I only saw 4 books on the shelf.
User avatar #51 to #47 - latinotornado (10/10/2013) [-]
The main story is 10 issues. There are site issues that tie in with the story and all that, but it's a fairly short run. It's called Age of Ultron so if you mentioned it to someone working in a comic store they should absolutely know what you're talking about because it's only a few months old and very VERY popular.
User avatar #52 to #51 - latinotornado (10/10/2013) [-]

User avatar #55 to #54 - latinotornado (10/10/2013) [-]
So i'm assuming your girlfriend knows a thing or two about comics, and if she reads Marvel or stays current with comics, then she probably knows Age of Ultron. if you don't wanna buy em (I doubt a comic store has them all anyway) you could try downloading them off the interwebs. However i'm not very experienced with that. I have met some people who's entire collection was based off internet downloads soooo yea haha

It wasn't really that emotional of a moment..
taken out of context it might give you some feels, but it wasn't a big moving scene or anything. And I very highly doubt Tony Stark would ever try to kill himself. Too much pride.
User avatar #56 to #37 - truemox (10/10/2013) [-]
It'd be good to remember that Robert Downy Jr (stark) hit some serious lows in his life.
User avatar #57 to #37 - odytoboman (10/10/2013) [-]
Actually, Tony stark had an amazing battle with depression and alcoholism in his comics. He's also the most reckless and ballsy guy in the avengers which, when you're a normal guy, can be like attempted suicide
User avatar #40 to #37 - charredenay (10/10/2013) [-]
Consciously no. But let's be honest, Iron Man was a way for Tony Stark to kill himself via dangerous situations for a long time.
User avatar #41 to #40 - pokemonstheshiz (10/10/2013) [-]
It was originally a means to escape, but then it became more. It became a chance to change his life, to do what he views as the morally right thing, to undo the wrongs he'd done in the past. It was to give him self redemption, a rebirth, not to actually kill himself.
User avatar #58 to #37 - lordgeneral (10/10/2013) [-]
Almost every core avenger has tried consciously to commit suicide. As for stark, his pride is a mask for the angst he feels. His father was killed by his former business partner, Obediah Strain, who took over said paternal responsibilities, only to try and nearly succeed to kill him quite a few times. His mother died during pregnancy.

He's struggled with a lot of issues in the comics (having to kill a few friends against your will, your girlfriend at the time dying) and has used a few depressants (alcohol, drugs, etc) to curb the pain and loss. Even when he didn't try to rip the arc reactor out of his chest, he's always been known to pull legitimately suicidal stunts, even when they're unnecessary.

Anthony Edward Stark junior is just as broken and isolated as Bruce Wayne, yet the two are rarely compared (I mean past the whole 'just a guy in a suit'). This is because instead of skulking around the new york night, Tony hides his pain with attention-seeking playboy shenanigans.

You tell me which is sadder, Bruce Wayne, the angsty narcissistic with a hero complex, or Anthony Stark II, the man who suffers silently for the sake of others

but then comes the best part of batman: he starts to understand that even thou he tried to shun everybody away from him,he never did fight alone,he always received help from people like superman, bat-family, jla and so on.

his relationship with those close to him is also kinda awesome (joker, superman, robins)

that was really well written. Damn.

I would have to say that I think Bruce Wayne has it worse, simply because he lets it be. Stark hides his pain under his self-confidence, which hurts a lot inside, but at least he can sometimes trick himself into being happy. Bruce shrouds himself in misery, with a purpose that can have no end except his death.
It's kinda hard to say though. But thank you for bringing all that to light.
#114 to #58 - somekindofname (10/10/2013) [-]
I think both are very comparably feely subjects among heroes.
Bruce is insane. Completely ******* insane, that's why he and the Joker are such a match for each other, they are the same insanity, but in complete opposite of itself. Yin and Yang you might say.
Stark has lost so ******* much that he is probably very unstable himself, but not as insane as Bruce, but that seems equally sad. He is so conscious of hiding it.
The difference between them is that Bruce has long since wandered into the abyss, Tony is trying to hide from it.

Basically, if he is conscious, he could get shot in the forehead, perfect sniper shot, etc, he would Hulk out. The only way to kill him is to sever the brain from the rest, while can't see it. So of course Deadpool figured it out.

Cutting it would be plenty fast enough, as long as he is asleep. Its how Deadpool did it.
