But
Albinism is correct
so is melanism
User avatar #19 to #17 - SylverSlayer (07/28/2014) [-]
True, but that wasn't quite the point i was addressing here.
I was trying to state that Albino and Albinism are both correct, so what the original person was trying to say was likely Melano, whereas this kind fellow tried to correct it to the -ism, which wasn't what the person was trying to say

then why aren't they
#5 to #3 - mountaintroll (07/27/2014) [-]
Because their fur is hollow like hypodermic syringes and transparent, which reflects light really well giving it the appearance of being white.
User avatar #15 to #5 - kouzan (07/28/2014) [-]
Really, because I thought it was because they stole bikes.

Melanism.

The word is melanism.
#25 - flyingvivo (07/28/2014) [-]
Melanism is the opposite of albinism
Here's a melanistic leopard (aka black panther)
#24 - spazzii (07/28/2014) [-]
Melanosis.
#22 - IamPinhead (07/28/2014) [-]
Or his skin was white underneath the fur

Melanistic animals are ******* dope, lions look the best in my opinion.
User avatar #16 - sumerfag ONLINE (07/28/2014) [-]
That would be melanism not albinism
