It's not actually the Eiffel Tower, it's the French Space Needle, but you can call it by its street name, "baguette mon dieu hon hon hon."

You silly americans and your lack of knowledge
This obviously is the Brandenburg Gate

#46 to #42 - jvcjvc (10/27/2013) [-]

#44 to #42 - jvcjvc (10/27/2013) [-]
are you ******* kidding me. you dont know the difference between the Arc de Triomphe and the Brandenburg gate.

(picture is the brandenburg gate in Berlin)
User avatar #84 to #44 - sabcy (10/27/2013) [-]
I didn't even know that existed.
User avatar #48 to #44 - spdsky (10/27/2013) [-]
No no no...

I'm taking a French class and I believe that is Notre Dame.

(obvious sarcasm)
User avatar #47 to #44 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
I do. but you were being red thumbed, so I had to "call you out" as to help educate. it's also amazing how we have this brand new utility readily at our disposal called Google, in case anyone actually wanted to know something, all they have to do is ask... it's ******* amazing!!
#49 to #47 - jvcjvc (10/27/2013) [-]
that has absolutely nothing with not getting the joke, what you thought i did was pointing out that the Arc de Triomphe was in fact the Brandenburg gate. You were the one that did not get the joke
User avatar #50 to #49 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
sure thing buddy.
#52 to #50 - jvcjvc (10/27/2013) [-]
defending your point i see
User avatar #53 to #52 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
huh? it's ok if you don't believe me, I just don't want you red thumbed to hell for your comment (unjustly)
#59 to #53 - jvcjvc (10/27/2013) [-]
i am not sure how it would help though, lets just end it. I should have implied that it was joke a bit more, but people just wan't to show that they can tell the diffference.
User avatar #61 to #59 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
I "call you out" with a stupid picture (pictures get their attention) basically calling you a moron for not following along. then one of two things happens, either you are wrong and you realize how ******* dumb you are and never comment again, OR the one I figured would happen, you come back and comment facts to explain exactly why you were not wrong (the joke going over your head). thus people will stop thumbing you down because of there own stupidity and lack of use of common knowledge that is readily available. we have millions of answers basically at our fingertips and it amazes me how readily people just go with whatever is said first instead of using the advantage of knowledge.
#64 to #61 - jvcjvc (10/27/2013) [-]
But i was "following along" by calling a landmark the wrong name. (eiffeltower/big ben, Stonehenge, then Arc de Triomphe / Brandenburg Gate)... With you commenting on the missed joke, i thought you thought that i was correcting him.
User avatar #67 to #64 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
No... how did you just confuse me.. da fuq. It's because you made a joke, and it worked... but you were getting red thumbed, so I figured reverse psychology on these simple mother ******* .
#70 to #67 - jvcjvc (10/27/2013) [-]
haha, i actually thought about that in the last comment, but i thought that was rather unlikely.
User avatar #32 - oceanfrank (10/27/2013) [-]
How the **** can you idiots not realize that it's stonehenge?
User avatar #39 to #32 - lyiat (10/27/2013) [-]
You're a goddamn idiot. That's clearly the Sears Tower.
User avatar #43 to #39 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
the sears tower? but this clearly is NOT in Atlanta, thus it can't be.
#66 to #43 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
I'd just like to share with you all that it is now called the Willis Tower. Except for no one is ever going to call it that
User avatar #69 to #66 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
exactly! I didn't even know that **** .
#71 to #69 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
I went there last year and the lego set for the tower said Willis on it and I was like da fuq bro
User avatar #72 to #71 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
you should have demanded a refund!
#73 to #72 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
Alas, pretty soon I'll probably be forced to refer to it by its new name since little kids are only ever going to be taught to call it that. Same way they were taught Pluto isn't a planet.
#75 to #74 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
GODDAM RIGHT IT IS
User avatar #76 to #75 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
My kids will know this, this will be a fact in there minds as it is in mine!! PLUTO, never forget!!
#77 to #76 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
Also, they don't teach kids about Triceratops anymore.
User avatar #78 to #77 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
Now you're just lying to me... please tell me you are lying to me...
#79 to #78 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
No. Apparently archaeologists discovered it "never existed." They are, however, still teaching kids that global warming is irrefutable fact even though it was, uh, refuted.
User avatar #82 to #79 - thegamerslife (10/27/2013) [-]
I thought the majority had just finally excepted the fact that they all had gone along with the global warming thing out of emotional fear and it is actually natural for us to go through warm and cold periods?...

also... how do you discover something, put it on display,...then say it never actually existed... brainexploding.jpg
#97 to #82 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
Right, I mean the whole "everyone is gonna die" thing was recently refuted. But they still teach that in schools. As for triceratops, they think they ****** up bone placement, or something. Like really they just had a bunch of different dino bones and accidently made a triceratops
User avatar #110 to #97 - lyiat (10/27/2013) [-]
... No, Triceratops is a confirmed dinosaur and has never been refuted. Are you sure you're not thinking of Brontosaurus, which was a misidentified Brachiosaurus?
#111 to #110 - verby (10/27/2013) [-]
User avatar #112 to #111 - lyiat (10/27/2013) [-]
"Triceratops fans shouldn’t despair at the finding, though. Scientists will now reclassify all torosaurus as triceratops."

Meaning... Basically, the torosaurus was the adult of what they thought was a separate species of triceratops, so they took the more popular name and stuck it. Triceratops still exists.
