This whole concept is ridiculous, England has far more Nordic, and Germanic, heritage than Scotland which is Celtic. Just look up the Danelaw!

Let us not forget also the Norman invasion of England by Duke William the Bastard in 1066 and the invasion of England by King Harald of Norway.

Of course Duke William the Bastard's conquest was successful in which England over the years culturally became Norman which were descendants of Viking conquerors that lived in Normandy, France at the time.

Although I personally think the Celtic heritage exists more in Scotland than Nordic does.

Whilst that is true (even that Anglo-Saxons came mostly from Denmark, Frisia and North Germany) Scotland does have its fair share of Nordic heritage, especially in the Orkney and Shetland Isles.

I think that at the time this comic was made Scotland was trying to become a part of Scandinavia.
