As someone who has been electrocuted multiple times (don't ask)

And Can say with certainty that if the current was actually being run from the power grid of the house in entirety not only would you see sparks fly and the the wood burn you'd definitely see sparks from when his skin made contact. His body would have also spasm like a rag doll. Or his arm at least.

Its fake.

Only if it runs across any vitals. If it's isolated to the hand then there is no damage, but you do end up bouncing backwards while flapping your hand like a chicken.

At least for AC. Not sure about DC.

********, it depends on a ton of factors, I got shocked (don't call it electrocuted since it's not) a ton of times being an electrical engineer and only once I actually saw a spark. No burn injuries or anything and I even got 400V once but of course pwm'ed so no harm there.
#64 to #24 - vincetacular

You don't always see sparks, believe me I touched 240V a few times (really short duration so no harm) due to bad insulation and seeing sparks was rare but burn marks on me or the environment were even more rare.

And yes this video is fake because you kinda see it's acted, not because of the electricity "fail" you think to see

The wood would NOT burn.
Or smoke.
As long as the current is kept within the strings and nails or whatever, there is no reason the current should go trough the wood.
Besides, dry wood is a very bad conductor and WHEN wood starts to smoke, then because it made contact with the earthing, thus closing the electrical circuit.
And those sparks are electric arcs. And neither do they always appear when skin is touching an active current. I can not exactly see what type his plug is. It's either american or from europe what would make it 230V-240V. And since it's an home socket, the maximum amperes it can carry is 16A tops. Or even less. The wire is also not grounded, but I just assume it's an at least 1930 built house, so the whole ******* building should be grounded.
While that is enough to cause electrical arcs, under these circumstances there would be no sparks flying around or some ****. There are sure tiny electrical arcs exactly where the contact was made.
Your arm would spasm if your hands would be clinched down, like he tried to hold the strings.
But just touching it with, lets say, your finger tips looks like that guy. you swing your arm away and start cursing.
This videos is still fake, but what you said is not true partly.

Actually you can notice it's fake because in the original video, the moment when he touches the guitar he just changes the color of a frame, making it look like it actually sparked.

I once convinced my girlfriend that the electric guitar is called electric because the strings have an electric current, and that usually why people find it hard to play

I consider Acoustic to be harder because the body is larger. Electric is thinner and easier to carry.

err.. you shouldn't test military grade electrical fences to begin with.
I think what is meant is to test el. fences around pastures. And those even though bite, aren't dangerous.

So that if it's electrified and causes your muscles to contract, you don't end up grabbing it. The back of your hand also sweats less, making it less conductive.
