this is really spoiler alert, but as you want to know...
In the end of OFF you discover you, the puppeteer controlling the batter and the batter himself are the main villains, trying to turn OFF the world, and then the judge appears and offer you a chance of redemption from your sins if you fight with him against the batter. Knowing that the bater is the main villain an has purified everything by killing everything, in the undertale context, he would have a lot of LV, leading to his op health

tl;dr the batter has killed a lot of things, and became op in UT because of it, as this is taking one character from a game and putting it in the context of another game

As much as I hate to say it, it's actually the best introduction to undertale you'll get.
Since most people usually revert their saves to save her.

Flowies taunt toward you kinda shows you what the game has to offer.

I managed to do it without killing her the first time. I talked to the frogs and remembered one saying "sometimes, you have to use mercy even when it's not yellow". With this in mind, I kept sparing her and saw progression in the conversation. That's why early NPCs in RPGs are EXTREMELY important.

Am I really the only one who was too weirded out by OFF's design to really enjoy it?

I mean, I get the ending twist of "YOU WERE THE BAD GUY ALL ALONG MWAHAHA" is good and all, but the whole thing is so alien that I couldn't get into it at all.

And it wasn't alien in a "wow, this is very exotic and well planned, it's thought provoking and makes me want to understand this world design further". No, it was "Jesus, everything is so weird. WTF is happening. Plastic? Meat? What the hell? Why does everyone look, sounds, and behaves so sickly? What the hell?".

Meat = Fire, the volcanic island spewed it out

The elements are by far the least weird things about it.

You're not supposed to ''feel it''. You're just supposed to...feel like you're feeling right now. That's the point. You played through this...mess just because you were curious about it and wanted to finish the game, even though you eventually realize the batter is just a mass murderer and everything is just ****** up.

Also you want some theories?

The creator of the whole world was that little bald kid named Hugo. He created the Queen and the Batter, and treated them like they his parents ( they're just representative). The rest of the world is just his scribblings and childish imagination. It's ****** up because it seems like he's dying in real life ( notice that he looks sick and coughs when he speaks ). All the ''guardians'' could be seem as imaginary friends going evil because Hugo himself is living through hard times in life, possibly. The Queen could also be seen as Hugo representing his real mother. The Batter is his ''father'' who has also gone bad ( maybe in rea life his Father is not so good ). The whole game could be seen as Hugo dying and the batter could be his Father trying to get him off life support and end his sufering. The Judge could be seen as his Father's sense of morality and reason. Or y'know, maybe there is no ''real life'' and Hugo is just a weird kid who created everything, and somehow things have gotten bad over the years and the Batter decided to ''purify'' everything to end the world's suffering.

Anyways, the original game's not very fullfilling in terms of an ending, so I played this fan-made sequel named ''Home'' because it looked pretty promising and I wanted a good ending. It was actually amazing and I think you should play it as well. You play as the Judge in it.

Here's the thing. Look how many "maybe", "seem" and "could" there are in your spoiler. The story is weird, and it's not clear. And I'm not even sure if the author wanted there to be a clear story, or whatever it was he was thinking as he wrote it up.

There a fan game with a satisfying explanation? Cool. Though, it's a fan game. So it's all just a bunch of theories again.

I guess my problem with the game is the game kind signals "Look how weird this world is"

So the player goes "Well. It sure is. What else is there?"

Game: "This world is just... SO. WEIRD."

Player: "Yeah... I kind grasped that. And then what?"

Game: " And then you were the villain all along! "

Player: "Ok... Yeah. Sure. That's kinda neat. I think. Hold on, let me try to find out more about this. Oh, ok, bunch of theories... Theories... Theories.... Yeah, sure, guess some make sense. Everything is still weird thought..... Oh wait! Secret boss? Extra ending? Ok, I'll try that!"

Game: "EVIL SPACE MONKEYS!"

Player: ".... I'm being ****** with, aren't I?"

I mean. In spec ops the line, you still are the bad guy, but I can at least relate to the world and the characters. I just don't get why exactly OFF gets so much love. It feels kinda like it's mostly loved because pretentious vague indie game stuff. But come on, there's gotta be more, right?

It gets it's fame because of how interesting it is to try to figure things out. That' what Mortis Ghost(the creator) wanted. It's not really pretentious imo. It's the fans that give it fame. By itself it's just a weird game, as you say it is. It's vague by itself because that draws the player's attention. Sure, it could just be a normal game that gives you the whole plot right away, but that's not what the creator wanted it to be. Theories are fun too. They get people immersed into the game because they want to know what is not being told.

Also the monkeys were a joke ending.

And seriously, play the fan-game. It's good.

Gladyly, to put it simply, you control the batter, a man who weilds a bat, whose job is to purify the world of spectres and such, it's a more simplistic kind of turn based rpg, with funky ass music, trippy visuals, dark and creepy things, and horrific monster design. Oh and there is A LARGE emphisis on puzzles, and they are DOOZYS later. Oh and when you clear a zone of the spectres, do go back to it after.

FJ has asked admin, our god and savior, to give us an option to block channels ALL the way back to when mlp became popular. Now undertale is not as rampant or as popular as mlp was in it's prime, so I highly doubt that he is going to add a channel filter simply because of it.

As for now, my only advice is, just keep on skipping every Undertale content. It is rally easy. You don't even have to press the mouse, just press the right arrow key on your keyboard and voila!

OFF is the perfect representation of a true genocide run, see, I think they used the term "Genocide" wrongly, because you only kill individual people.

Whereas in OFF, you kill off populations. Zones 1, 2 and 3 are ******* barren when you return to them.

It's a crossover between undertal and OFF. that character is from Off, and you can't play as him in UT

btw, check of OFF (so many "of"s), it's a great game too.
