Japanese people don't wear outdoor shoes inside.
User avatar #61 to #5 - ruebezahl (01/18/2014) [-]
They do wear outside shoes at their workplace though.

Not if it's his own personal workplace.
User avatar #68 to #5 - niggastolemyname (01/18/2014) [-]
if you think about it it makes sense because then there's less dirt to clean
User avatar #81 to #68 - Loppytaffy (01/18/2014) [-]
Exactly. We do it in Britain, too (though we don't wear slippers, we just remove shoes)
User avatar #11 to #5 - Tusura (01/18/2014) [-]
They wear Uwabaki.

My feet in japanese indoor slippers. They were all in the same size wherever we went and only covered my toes. **** was awkward and uncomfortable since I have hoobit feet. Shameful display.

But really, in some parts of the US, it's fine to wear one type of footwear anywhere.
#38 to #32 - stallioncock ONLINE (01/18/2014) [-]
I never understood why wear shoes in your own house. It makes the floor dirty and everything. Everyone I know who isn't from America tells you to take your shoes off at the front door. Besides, it's also more comfortable.
User avatar #42 to #38 - anotheroneonearth (01/18/2014) [-]
yeah, my thought exactly. it's just so unhygienic.

Since FR/LG runs on the same in game engine as R, S, and E Nintendo, as an easter egg to the people who discovered that glitch in the original R, B, and Y put a Lava Cookie under that truck

Only one in the game. It's the same as a full heal.

Isn't it rude to ware shoes in doors in japan? I know that the schools have lockers for the students to keep their shoes in and store slippers to ware in the school.
User avatar #13 to #3 - killerliquid (01/18/2014) [-]
Seems English is not your first language. Yea, in Japan you have shoes/slippers for outdoor and indoor use. Really, a lot of Asian countries don't like wearing shoes indoors
User avatar #15 to #13 - devilofscience (01/18/2014) [-]
No it's just when I don't use a word a lot I mix it up with similarly spelled words.
User avatar #16 to #15 - killerliquid (01/18/2014) [-]
That's weird
User avatar #18 to #16 - devilofscience (01/18/2014) [-]
Not really, especially when you consider how fast I type comments. If I were typing a report or a story I'd type it slowly and carefully consider my choice in words but when I'm commenting I just try and type it as fast as possible before I forget what I had wanted to say, in fact I often forget what I was saying anyways and just stop commenting and move on.
User avatar #19 to #18 - killerliquid (01/18/2014) [-]
I always type at my fastest speed but 9/10 times I feel like something's wrong and backspace fast to correct it
User avatar #20 to #19 - devilofscience (01/18/2014) [-]
I usually do too (not this time though) and still end up leaving a mysterious "p" or a word with an extra two letters in it.
#49 to #3 - anon (01/18/2014) [-]
It's rude in a lot of cultures.
User avatar #50 to #49 - devilofscience (01/18/2014) [-]
I won't lie I wasn't aware of that, but strictly speaking Japanese culture is the only one really relevant to my point.

Actually when I work in the lab at we have to wear slippers that are only used in the lab to keep it clean.

And they are fckin comfortable.
User avatar #58 to #10 - ruebezahl (01/18/2014) [-]
Was just going to post this. As so often, this content is only funny to the clueless.

At my workplace, everyone wears lab sandals and slippers, whether they are in the lab or not, because you don't want to keep changing your shoes all the time.
User avatar #123 to #58 - gibssowas (01/19/2014) [-]
Yea its kinda like at my workplace black slippers for outside the lab white for inside.

It's funny how the content asks "Who wears slippers to work?" and half the comments go on about how Japanese wear slippers at home.

Only one guy got it right: If you work in a lab, you usually wear lab slippers. Got nothing to do with japanese customs.
