Nintendo: Man, we've run out of mario remakes. Hell, we even remade the remakes? What else can we make? Wait, what if we didn't make anymore mario games, but instead, have OTHERS pay us for the ability to make their OWN mario game, but we get the profits?
Also just wait for the mario maker to appear as Mario Maker 3DS, New Super Mario Maker, Mario Maker Nexus (or whatever they are calling their next console)
At least Nintendo keeps the repetitivity within the same game series. Everyone else just tries to copy each other at every turn because that's what sells. "Oh, boy, generic stealth shooter featuring zombies, crafting, some kind of magic system, mass looting, parkour, mining, no real artistic difference in visuals from other games, as they're all trying to look nothing but ultra realistic! Whoa, except this one has three percent more bloom, wow!"
What games are you playing where they all contain parkour, stealth, shooting, zombies, mining, crafting AND magic...?
And realistic is not an art style, it's pretty much the default (even though there is small differences between how developers handle it), that's why when you see something like Mario or Zelda or Splatoon they have 'stylized' art.
Actually, I only know of Dying Light by name. Haven't seen or heard much about it. If anything, I was thinking of a mix between The Last of Us, Bioshock, Dishonored, Assassin's Creed, Minecraft and every game that has taken inspiration from Minecraft, among others.
The thing about stylized visuals is that they only work with people that appreciate the style, and that it generally a smaller group than people who prefer non stylized works.
An example is Last of Us. I love the story, gameplay, etc, but myself and many others probably wouldn't even look twice at it if it was done in a cartoon-like art style as say, Kirby or Mario.
and stuff changes in assassins creed, the sidescrolling mario games has literally been exactly the same since the third one. no change in physics. no change in items
and im not talking about super paper mario terrible game anyways or other spin offs like mario galaxy

"Literally been the same" that's not how you use the word, fellow Rascal. The physics change whenever a new subseries of Mario is introduced. See the differences between Mario Galaxy (a main game, not a spin-off, btw), New Super Mario Bros. and Mario 3D World. Items (and enemies, mechanics, etc.) are introduced and abandoned all the time, so you have no idea what you're talking about.
Thank god someone said it. I mean, the whole time watching the final part was "How the **** did cosmo get into the final two if he can't even wall jump? Is he purposely throwing it or something?" and I still wish to believe that he purposely ****** up that badly.
I actually know John Numbers, he and I play Smash Bros time to time at Smash Attack. He's a cool guy, all about customs and what not, mains Wii Fit Trainer now.
Does he actually play as Wii fit trainer or does he do the same old annoying ******* thing that most people do with wii fit trainer and have no strategy?
Nintendo world championships 2015, specificly the finale where cosmo wright (speedrunner) and john numbers (smash bros player) are the last 2 and they are playing a custom made world made by people at nintendos treehouse (pretty much their social media center) using the game that this is promoting called mario maker.

it looks pretty damn good, it's a level editor for Super Mario Bros., Mario Bros. 3, SMW, and new super mario bros wiiU
and new enemies and items are in old versions and each thing controls like you'd expect
like the spin jump is in SMW but not in SMB3
and bowser's in SMW without the clown cart and ****
boos in SMB1, and so on
Bruh, that game looks awesome. I can finally make the super mario world game of my dreams. My only hope is that they give the option to create an overworld and connect your courses into a game.
I've been making levels on graph paper since I was a kid playing super mario world after school, and using a ****** editor called LUNA ever since. I'll pay 60 bucks for it. And it looks like its got a ton of content too. Plus, I can't wait to see what courses some other people come up with. I'm just happy to have the ability to finally make all the ideas I have.
I share your enthusiasm for this game, this is the first reason for me to pick up a WiiU
What might be better than creating level for the game that got me into gaming, the very first and best gaming experience of my life.. *stands up* Super Mario for god's sake..god bless Shigeru Miyamoto
