"Hollow point rounds are great for dealing with unarmed opponents, but are useless against armor" - Chet

These blast points are too accurate for sand people.
User avatar #21 - WindblownRebel (08/12/2014) [-]
Good to know I got a good phone. Time to buy about a thousand more and create armor.
User avatar #11 - reginleif (08/11/2014) [-]
My 520 got a long thin crack that's barely noticeable but annoys me.

Nice to know it can take a bullet though.
User avatar #2 - thatuglynat ONLINE (08/11/2014) [-]
looks like a small caliber round .22 maybe?
User avatar #8 to #2 - roliga (08/11/2014) [-]
You don't know much about guns if that looks like a .22 to you...

Should make a tank of Nokia alloy.

Only because it's a hollow point. If it wasn't hollow that **** would have went right through the phone and into the cop. Pants pocket though, prolly wouldnt have been fatal regardless, depending on if it hits the femoral artery or not.

Uh, shattered hip?

Still, a regular FMJ would've lost quite a bit of velocity...
User avatar #36 to #33 - poutinesalad (08/12/2014) [-]
I said fatal. Not damaging.

Read it again.
User avatar #37 to #36 - scowler (08/12/2014) [-]
A shattered hip is pretty fatal when you can't make ends meet...
User avatar #38 to #37 - poutinesalad (08/12/2014) [-]
I'm pretty sure a cop can make ends meet.
User avatar #39 to #38 - scowler (08/13/2014) [-]
Not with an injury like that...
User avatar #40 to #39 - poutinesalad (08/13/2014) [-]
Lol im pretty sure he would dude. Cops are government employees. They get crazy good benefits. One of the perks of havin a job that includes the risk of being shot
User avatar #41 to #40 - scowler (08/13/2014) [-]
Still wouldn't be making as much money as he was before...
User avatar #42 to #41 - poutinesalad (08/13/2014) [-]
Still making money, still not fatal which was the thing you were trying to argue in the first place .

Give up.
User avatar #43 to #42 - scowler (08/13/2014) [-]
"Fatal" as in painful enough that you want to give up.
User avatar #44 to #43 - poutinesalad (08/13/2014) [-]
Ok, now you're arguing semantics. Weak. ass. semantics.

Give up.

When I was buying a new phone I figured the nokia thing was a load of **** and they were just as flimsy as any other phone.
None the less, I got the 520 as well.

It's literally been run over by a bus and isn't even cracked. Sure, it's exaggerated a bit but not by much.
User avatar #27 - swampwaterjack (08/12/2014) [-]
hi proud, im son
User avatar #25 - greendroid (08/12/2014) [-]
Ive got that phone
#6 - iampowpow (08/11/2014) [-]
wtf? i dropped my lumia 920 about 3 feet and the motherflipping screen cracks and totally annihilates my expectation of Nokia. Getting my goddamn 3510i back out, **** this.
User avatar #30 to #6 - lordmandy (08/12/2014) [-]
it's because Microsoft bought Nokia, duh
#22 to #6 - Rascal (08/12/2014) [-]
That's because smartphones are just fragile by design. The Nokia image only works for really old phones, and even then I doubt Nokia's phones are actually that tough. I've never owned one though so that's just suspicion. I'm pretty sure any smartphone could take one small arms bullet, but I'm sure anything of larger caliber would go straight through.
#7 to #6 - Rascal (08/11/2014) [-]
The nokia you bought was more fake than a pokemon ps2 game.
User avatar #31 - capinsquiggles (08/12/2014) [-]

I'm not really a gun fanatic, but aren't hollow points incredibly weak because of their structure?
#12 to #10 - newall (08/11/2014) [-]
hollow points suck at penetrating hard objects
User avatar #13 to #12 - perform (08/11/2014) [-]
My point exactly, so any phone would have worked in that case right?
#14 to #13 - newall (08/11/2014) [-]
Theoretically, although Iphones don't have Hardened "gorilla glass", so it's likely it would completely destroy the phone, there's still a ******** of kinetic energy being expended there.
User avatar #15 to #14 - perform (08/11/2014) [-]
I said phone, not turd brick. Thanks for responding btw.
User avatar #17 to #10 - wotterpatch (08/11/2014) [-]
Hollow point bullets aren't weak, but they flatten and spread out. They're not as good at penetrating through tougher surfaces, they're meant to hit soft flesh, flatten, and tear it to shreds.
User avatar #9 - flixoe (08/11/2014) [-]
He didn't really avoid it, he was saved by it.
User avatar #1 - internetexplain (08/11/2014) [-]
What if the new Nokia is just the old one flattened?
#3 to #1 - djlite (08/11/2014) [-]
It's density must have increased then, making it harder but more brittle and prone to snapping. Therefore it becomes more effective at being nokia for a shorter space of time.
