Pretty noice, man. For a bit of constructive criticism I think the guitar is a bit too much in the forgeground, could make the drums a bit louder

Yeah you're right. I made this last night while I was drinking so the timing's a bit off too

Also if you're going for that heavy ass tone you need to throw some more bass in there.
I would also help with the drums if i had adequite recording hardware
User avatar #56 to #29 - xorioz (07/30/2015) [-]
with your permission i could try to add a digital drum to it.
from proper acoustic samples of curse.

It's sad i don't have my bass at hand or i could have made a nice deep and heavy tone for ya. only have my les paul but you seem to have the guitar under control

I would if i actually could record it in a matter that didn't make everything sound like a big buzz n' stuff. I'm working towards some mediocre hardware so I can start recording some stuff and maybe when that time comes we could collab or something.

I use a trick when creating progressive house and stuff.
Add a compressor to your guitar track and then sidechain it to the drum track.
Don't know if it would work with this kind of music.

but this way the music should be i bit less muddy as the guitar makes way for the drums.

if you have separate recording equipment for your drums it would be even better if you only sidechan to the kick.

You could even create two guitar tracks and use an equalizer on them so you have a hi band track and a lowband track. Then only sidechain the lowband track.

Feel like the timing is just slightly off. It's good, though. It's not top level professional artist good, but it's good. Also higher drum volume, add more bass to balance the heavy use of guitar, etc...

One more thing: Once you're famous and rolling in the money I want 50%
User avatar #35 to #33 - rainbowrush ONLINE (07/30/2015) [-]
An idea here, shoot me down if you disagree; what if you used some pauses more in your guitar in some of the changes around 0:30 1:00, or maybe some double notes. Just an idea. Remember that you're much better than me at this + long time since I've done music theory, so I might be way off. Just trying to imagine different stuff in my head.

Exilion - Firedance (2014)
If anyone is interested, this is a song I wrote for my band. It's sort of a mix between symphonic death and folk (maybe? I'm **** at sub-genres)
Have a listen, and if you want to hear more we're on Spotify or iTunes

User avatar #50 - Kairyuka (07/30/2015) [-]
I feel the guitar falls a bit out of timing at points, which would be less obvious if the song was mixed a bit better (down with guitar up with drums, don't be afraid to buff the bass, it usually doesn't overshadow anything), also you need some sick vocals bruh

oh the dragon's balls were blazing

beginning sucks ass with mismatched tones, then gets good when the "main dish" gets served

still needs more work on it yo
User avatar #39 - adoptedchicken (07/30/2015) [-]
This honestly sounds really good, and I agree with atomschlumpf, a little louder drums. You seriously keep this up man this is awesome.

My thoughts on this;

The intro is decent, but the lead guitar needs more midtones, and the introdrums following it needs more sustain.
Would also remove some of that 250hz noise with an EQ. Alittle boomy strummingsound on some of it.

I'm also not getting the motive of the song but that's just me.

Other than that, pretty good composition.
