Well we did try to deal with them.
Twice actually.
First time we lost Moldavia and the second time the dude doing the dealing with got executed.
Also I thought you were trying to imply that gypsy=romanian,that was why I was saying the things I was.
Also the moment that they leave the country they are no longer our problem as long as they do not commit crimes in the name of Romania. Just deport them. It's not like we can take their passports away.

bullfighting is fun, it's probably one of the last existing ancient sports that the modern society hasn't washed down with safety laws and political correctness ********

animal rights is an issue yes, but our tendencies of violence is of nature and i think it's more of a desire than nature. Bullfighting is something that not only suffices our need for violence and adrenaline, but it's also demonstration of how humans overcame the threat of harsh nature.

This leads me to say that while I do not like enjoying torturing and injuring animals over a long time. I love eating meat and I would prefer it if the cow that is providing the meat Im eating died without pain. And that is most likely the case with most abattoir these days. It's just simply not efficient and profitable to torture animals just to kill it later for meat.

That being said tho, in the ancient time we killed animals in the wild by sticking it with spears and arrows and chasing the bleeding animal for hours or even days until it bleeds to death. Bullfighting lasts for hours, and while changed quite drastically from the old form, it still maintains the ancient gladiatorial origins of "man vs the beast".

History is best read, Traditions are best performed.

Except that makes no sense. Not that it matters to mention anecdotal evidence like this but I know just as many people who could give less of a **** about animals than I know that are hippies. That is not objective at all friend, a majority doesn't create a standard.

Most people will agree that killing people is wrong, in fact they've agreed that since before Hammurabi. But it is still subjective, even if there is a standard set. If there is even one dissenting voice it is subjective since it is subject to one's perspective on the matter.

It's cool that you care about bulls for whatever reason but it's just your opinion at the end of the day. Legally speaking it's not hard to get animal rights bills passed now a days so you don't have actually be right to stop bull fighting.

Traditions (mostly) suck. The reason why people read history is to be free from it. The reason we read about wars and kings and silly things we did to celebrate progress. Is so that we are aware of why we feel bound to the traditions, bound to going full circle in wars and learn from it and improve.

Humans dont really have a need for violence, but more so we have a craiving for power. Torturing animals is how most psycopaths start out when becoming serialkillers (often driven by the need for power). If a society shows the traits of a psycopath, you know its a bad one.

The reason bullfighting is so bad is because they literally torture the ******* thing. Over the last few decades all practices involving the harming of animals has been shut down all over the western world, but because it's "part of the culture" bullfighting is still a thing.
I am not a vegan and I fully understand that people need to kill animals to get food to survive, but at least they do it humanely and most hunters try to do this as well. There's a big difference between killing an animal for food, and tying up the balls of a bull to make it angry before stabbing it a few hundred times until it dies.

*most* rich posh hunters hunt for sport. The amount of lower class hunters who don't eat their kill is very low to compared to the amount that do, and I bet the amount of posh rich hunters who eat their kill is very low to the amount that do.
Bull fighting however is a bit cruel, using lances to slowly kill a bull, and dangerous for the person.
This thing is completely incomparable to hunting, where the hunter is at a safe distance with a gun or something, and swiftly kills the animal, if not, in 2 or 3 shots.
I guess it's not so bad way out in Spain, they don't seem to give a **** about the picadors or carpet wavers, but I don't lack compassion for human life.

My point is some people like to live traditionally, and that's fine. People out in the country seldom don't have access to farmed meats, and they go hunting, and that's fine. The ones that do hunt may be because they can't afford farmed meats or just don't want to pay the money, and that's fine.
And I actually never said you couldn't eat your kill if you hunted for sport. Now you're pulling things out of your ass.
Sure it's a sport, but you aren't "fighting" a dangerous animal, don't compare it to bullfighting. You're shooting a dangerous animal, you aren't putting your life at risk.
You tell me I know nothing about hunting, but when was hunting ever about putting your life at risk for the thrill of it?
Hunting is about killing things, be it for food or not. You wear camouflage and use guns to MINIMIZE the amount of danger you are in. If you want a hunting sport that is dangerous and thrilling, then go grab a spear and put on some armor or some **** and attack a bear.

One time I was in Spain and went to a very expensive restaurant near a bull ring.
I had a load of cash from some lucky investments I made when I was younger so I just ordered the most expensive items on the menu. The main was "Bolas de Gloria" (balls of glory). These two huge fist sized meatballs which were so juicy and delicious, so I asked about them and the waiter said "Ah, yes, you see...from the bull fight in the last night. The balls from the defeated animal. It is a delicacy."
I was a bit unsure at first because of obvious reasons but it tasted so good I soon didn't care.
I came back pretty much every day that week and order those same Bolas de Gloria and they were always delicious.
So on my last day as usual I go in and by now they recognise me and I tell them I want the same again. This time though, when they bring them out they're these tiny grape-sized things. I was shocked. After 5 days of fist sized balls I now get these tiny pathetic things. I immediately asked if this was right but the guy was very polite, he just told me "Ah, yes, you see...
sometime, the bull...he win."

Most bulls I worked with in rodeos were doing it for the fun of it. They were fairly gentle in the pastures, some we could get some would hand feed, but once they're on the trailer or at the rodeo they would get mean. Some of our bulls didn't even want to fight after the rider was off and they would just run down the lane.
