The Valkyrie one is wrong
They gather the souls of the brave warriors who dies on the battlefield and send them to Valhalla. Where they warriors can battle other warriors or Einherjars who is dwelling there. And in the evening the Valkyries serve mead and meat for the Einherjars.

In Norse mythology, Fólkvangr (Old Norse "field of the host" or "people-field" or "army-field") is a meadow or field ruled over by the goddess Freyja where half of those that die in combat go upon death, while the other half go to Odin in Valhalla. Fólkvangr is attested to in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. According to the Prose Edda, within Fólkvangr is Freyja's hall Sessrúmnir. Sessrúmnir, 'filled with many seats', is theorized to probably fills the same function as Valhalla, 'the hall of the slain', where the warriors eat and drink after the fighting.

We all want to go to Valhalla, friend, but those of us who fall in glorious and honorable battle still only have a 50-50 shot at it all the same. Either way, there's food and drink aplenty, so rejoice in that at least!

I hate that all dragons are wyverns now, thank you for catching that OP.
Bring back real dragons!

Thumb for general agreement, though I think that the image most people's minds conjure up when the word "dragon" is mentioned (as far as westerner's/European's are concerned anyway) is the Wyvern type all the same, but yes, I too would like to see more variety of dragons portrayed anyway.

**daemonicdemeanor rolled image**Holy **** **** dicks. I was driving home one day from up in the mountains at about 1 in the morning. There were three other people with me, but they were all asleep. I pulled over to piss on the side of the road, and got back in my car. I started to drive away, and flipped my brights on. I saw a tall thing that definitely had antlers, but it seemed to tall to be even an elk. The only other thing I could make out before I 2spoopy4me'd away was a long slender leg that bent in the wrong direction. Then I see the picture of the wendigo and remember that **** . I just thought it was a big ass deer on a hill or something. Like, I don't buy into fantastical **** like this, but that thing I saw was definitely weird as **** . I described it to my friends the next day as a giraffe shaped thing with backwards knees and antlers, but without the long neck.

There was a gif I saw on 4chan one time that was from some movie where the whole thing I just described happened. If anyone has it, I'd love you forever.

Vätter/Vittra are beings in scandinavian folklore that live in a different time and a different place (basicly parallel reality).

Vittror aren't hostile but if you build your house on a their cattle trail they will go through your house.

>Vittra sculpture in Sweden.
