Women discern colors better than men, but men discern detail in fast-moving objects better than women.
Looking at it from an evolution standpoint, men were hunters and women were the gatherers. Men would need this quick vision in hunting prey and spotting predators. Meanwhile, women needed the skill to discern color spectra to spot a berry patch in a field of grass.

Technically it could be evolution, as natural selection still somewhat concerned people ages ago. It could be possible that a female, who wasn't sufficient in gathering or a male, who wasn't sufficient in hunting, had harder time mating, than those who were more successful in said things. That said I agree that evolution probably has a fairly little to do with it and is just purely coincidental (or even just something that you learn, boys are often put to sports teams from a young age where such things could develop faster, whereas girls...I don't know...play with dolls or something.)

You have a point, but the only way that would be breed into women is if they killed women who didn't demonstrate superior color discerning ability.

That might be true but little girls run around in circles just as much as little boys do. Lots of gender stuff is coincidental.

Not necessarily. The ones with said trait need to reproduce while the others...well...don't reproduce. The less talented ones don't need to be killed off as long as they don't get laid.

Why would they not reproduce? "She can't see that berry so well, back off from her cunt so future generations will have women with greater color discerning ability's."

You're thinking in the context of one individual. In early human history almost everyone in a tribe were close relatives of one another. So instead of one woman not being able to see berries or get laid, it would be an entire tribe not being able to find food, and in the end failing to survive. Always remember evolution happens to the population not the individual.

Meh. It's a theory.
I posted the source from NatGeo at the bottom of the page.

The male adaptation makes sense by itself in the fact that the better fast vision they had, the less likely they were to be killed.
The female adaptation makes logical sense if you think that this mutation started out in one tribe of people. Those people would have been less likely to starve if the women could find food easier. It's a stretch, but an interesting theory nonetheless.

While this sounds cool and logical In all honesty, I have no reason why I should make an argument over it , if you tried to convince the scientific community that this is fact, you would be shot down for not having extensive proof unless you do, in that case, ignore the rest despite the harmless nature of it. However, if you wrote these harmless facts into a book that created a devout religious cult of followers, they will hold these facts as absolute truth even if we do gain the technology to analyse this idea for real evidence.

They would stand in the way of ground braking research claiming that science is some how defiling their way of life in proving their book wrong, and that science is some how affronting nature, all because the author of their great book did not site their research. if you do have research to supports this then you can consider my post complete ******** and carry on.

That is the difference between science and religion.

Actually, that's just a mutation on the X chromosome. If you do the cross on paper, you'll find that there is a 50% chance of a son having colorblindness, and that is only when the mother is a carrier meaning she has the gene, but it is not present due to also having the gene for color vision , but for a daughter, she would need both a color-blind father and a carrier mother.

well its the tint of the white... kinda
a tint is a darker shade of a color, and a hue is a lighter tone

When a color is mixed slightly, like white and yellow, which makes an eggshell white; I call it called a twinge.

so maybe dark turquoise would be a dark blue with a "twinge" of green

Actually, eggshell is a common descriptor for how glossy the paint is. An eggshell finish is usually somewhere around the middle of the spectrum between glossy and matte, and describes paints that same sort of sheen that an eggshell might have.
