It's a step in the right direction to save a game with amazing gameplay (played the Alpha, Beta, and Trial, it's great) from it's ****** lootbox progression system. I really hope they keep taking these steps because I like Star Wars and I like games, which means while I love this action they took, we shouldn't all be like "alright EA you fixed it all up I guess you're the best now"

Yeah. I just wish the progression system were done by DICE themselves without EA saying "hey make us some extra money with this one" because all of the DICE devs really seem like they poured their soul into this one just to have a fantastic game **** on by their boss.

I'd actually estimate it at about 10 hours, since they reduced the costs by 75%

That doesn't change the fact it's still p2w in nature, and by all accounts Darth Vader and Luke shouldn't have to be unlocked in the first place

EA needs to make a wealth of changes before they "get it right"

In most games there is unlockable content.
It was like that in all Battlefield titles from Battlefield 3 onwards, and nobody complained.
40 hours is too much, especially when you can alternatively just pay for it, but everybody crying about not being able to just play luke or vader right after installing the game needs a reality check.

I've heard about that, EA's reasoning was that the 20k credits was "intended to for the player to use to unlock Iden one of the new heroes created for the game "

Which begs the question why Iden wasn't unlockable for beating the story to begin with

Finishing the campaign gives you 5k credits, which is enough to unlock one of the low tier characters... I forget what his name is.

Thing is... it used to be 20k credits. So at least one reward got reduced by 75% as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen on a wider scale.

Since release I've played the game for around 7-8 hours, alot of that time was spent playing campaign mode and I've already gotten Darth Vader. Not nearly as bad as it sounds anymore.

to unlock the best character in the game? and the game isnt even out yet. the people that are complaining are those with EA access and bought the deluxe edition to get bonus content. thats right the people who are giving you this information are giving EA the most moneyand complaining they didnt get the best characters the moment the game turned on
