18 here and I only knew him because of this site. Unfortunately we didn't have Mr Rogers Neighborhood on my country.

You can still watch Mr. Rogers Neighborhood just by googling it. It's a lot slower paced than modern day shows, but it's pretty cool.

I'm sorry that you were born too late to be his Neighbor =[

We all spend a lot of time on the internet, let's be honest. It's easy to get caught up in the culture, the attitudes, the humor, the tendency to disregard. I mean, c'mon, this is where we go to enjoy ourselves when we aren't really enjoying the real world right? When we're feeling ****** , or bored, or just feel like doing something that doesn't require lots of exercise. We don't like to be entirely serious on here. It's like we shut that part of our brain down and everything is either a joke or a witticism or some other way of ignoring the things that make us feel anything other than mildly elated. It's understandable, although it might have cultural implications that might be less than ideal. However, even when we shut of the real world and be our internet selves, there is one thing that always strikes straight to the heart of ourselves, the part that is connected to who we are in the real world, the part that contains all our deeper emotions and serious thought. For all but the most deluded and those who've been left unfortunately unaware, that one thing...is Mr. Fred Rogers.
