Actually, Deadpool can die, and quite easily as well.

As explained by Lady Death: Deadpool's Healing Factor, while much better than Wolverine's, also triggers differently. For Wolverine, it's just a regenerative ability, absolutely passive, but for Deadpool, his ability is triggered by sheer will-power. He could die if he let himself, but (even if just subconsciously) he really does want to keep on living and so he does. Deadpool is literally able to 'will' himself out of Death in a technical sense, and even when his mutations were taken away from him for a short time, he was able to survive being shot multiple times and endure otherwise fatal wounds simply because he wouldn't accept dying without having revenge, but by the time he got his revenge his powers came back.

pretty sure he's tried to kill himself multiple times.

he regens even when he doesn't want to.

He has, but that's why I say it's a subconscious desire, because he considers himself a 'trash-man', and there's always a job that he has to do.

but when he was trying to kill himself, he had thanos' immortality.... death (the character) has a lady-boner for deadpool and thanos is a massive cockblocker... like one of those fat chicks at the club that doesnt let her hot friend bone simply because scientist try to figure out how whales sprouted legs and began to walk.... at the time, deadpool couldn't die if he wanted to because he wanted to be with death and her boobies!!! so technically it was a curse... later on he found a way to get rid of the thanos immortality but the writers said "**** this" and kept him as a real immortal because hes the ******* deadpool what do you do in a deadpool? the deathstroke hue

"Death, the personification of death and the grim reaper, is in love with Deadpool because she cannot have his soul due to him not being able to die. Deadpool reciprocates his love for her and so tries to figure out ways for him to lose his healing ability, die and be with his beloved. Thanos, jealous because he understood Death prefered Deadpool's love over his, cursed Deadpool with immortality so they couldn't be together. "

I'm actually not privy to many of the comics, but if the comments around here are anything to take for fact, he's since lost his "Thanos Immortality'.

Why would they remove the best part of his character? thats kind of dumb, but whatever.

Thanks. Me neither normally but this one made me curious. If he can regenerate from one drop of blood then why doesn't cutting him spawn more Wolverine's? I'm really reading it just to figure that out.

Yeah, someone ripped out his heart and a drop of blood fell on a powerful crystal which somehow regenerated a whole new body or something? But only because of the crystal.

I also don't know anything about the x-men apparently. I knew maybe 4 or 5 characters from that whole story.

I wouldn't even be considered an amateur on what I've read. I enjoy reading them, but I don't try to delve into plot holes and such. I'm not into comics enough to do that.

I love characters who are immortal and enjoying the **** out of it. We don't need immortals brooding over their existence, like Superman. We need immortal characters who proudly flip the world off and yell "COME AT ME!". That's what makes Deadpool awesome - not his immortality, but the way he goes about it.

Deadpool was the first member of project X and finished as a "failed" experiment, making him scarred as he is now, but with amazing powers.

tldr deapool powers were perfected for logan
