Why do boxers/pits do that? We have a pit/boxer mix, and ANY time you play with her, or pet her, if she isn't trying to swat you to the ******* ground she puts her side against you, and looks up at you like "Moar pettings plox"

Their extremely playful, just moving a finger will get them excited.

Well, I know that, but what's with the "MY SIDES MUST TOUCH YOUR LEGS, K?" thing?

I read somewhere that pets rub against you to leave their scent. Maybe it's an affection thing like "I like you. You're fun. Pat me more pls" thing.

friendly reminder to treasure your time with your pets. you may only have them for a few years of your life, but in many cases they spend their whole lives with you. And you never know how suddenly that time can be cut short.

The other day at work I had this giant bear of a rottie come in for a bath. He ended up being one of the best, most lovingly idiotic dogs I'd ever worked with.
