The content was about a driving range for skipping stones.
You started going on about a golf course.

holy **** , lets go over all your comments in order
-i don't fissh for my golf balls
-it is not the same because the content said "rent" thats what the JOKE was based off of
-the goddamn ************* point of a driving range is not to fish out my goddamn balls
-my comment that included a golf course was %66.6 repeated, about a driving range.
-im not an actual moron, nor a fake one. i clearly show understanding of what the content was about but you felt the need to point it out again so thanks... and as stated before i was technically, statistically and factually NOT going on about a golf course

iq is not your intelligence, it's simply a measure of your potential intellect. You'll never be smarter than you are once your brain finishes developing, but you can become more intelligent, if that makes sense.
#117 to #39 - Rascal (11/20/2013) [-]
IQ tests assess your pattern recognition, logic and reasoning skills. All of these can be trained to increase your score. This is why after you've done a couple of IQ tests the results get even more inaccurate than they were to begin with - it's not uncommon to increase by more than 10 points just from doing similar questions a lot.

The IQ system as a whole is pretty awful though. At best it's 'pretty accurate' as long as you're white, male, educated in the West and between the ages of 18 and 30. Anywhere outside this spec and it starts to deviate in accuracy more and more. Even within that spec the result can shift depending on so many variables you can only ever put people in large brackets - mostly just to see if they have a learning disorder.

no it does not intelligents = how smart you are
#86 to #40 - fourtitwo (11/20/2013) [-]
Just to make some things clear, IQ is a measure of raw brainpower. You can still train your brain, so IQ doesn't inherently make you smart.
Also, some people are smarter than others. From birth. Deal with it.

that none of the above option on votes has to be the dumbest thing i've heard in a while.

The voting process is on a scheduled time line. If we need to select new candidates, fund new campaigns, and rewrite the basis of all the former candidates because the people cant make a decision, that could easily double the time that some one could stay in office (who we are trying to get rid of in the first place) or, even worse in my opinion, leave us with no one in that position allowing people like the ass hats in congress to do what ever the **** they feel like. It only sounds good on paper.
User avatar #312 to #21 - nustix (11/20/2013) [-]
I guess I can't disagree with you, but where I live elections work really different, there's a **** ton of parties (we have a Pirate party) and you can vote for whichever one you like. Rather than looking at regions each party should get a minimum amount of votes to get a seat in the parlement currently about 6% of the total amount of votes. In my honest opinion this is way more fair. This way smaller parties do get a chance.
#42 to #21 - yuukoku (11/20/2013) [-]
Exactly. What if they go through three or four batches of candidates? Everybody wasted millions of dollars and now there has to be another round of politicians that will waste all their money and their supporter's money for nearly an entire year or more campaigning. Meanwhile, this can be used as a tactic for any incumbent president or whatever elected official is incumbent at the time to stay in office for that much longer.

You guys do know what it means to abstain from a vote, right?
User avatar #79 to #69 - thebaseballexpert (11/20/2013) [-]
As long as ONE single person votes, while the other 99.99999% abstain, the ONE person who voted chooses the fate of the country
#346 to #79 - facepalmftw (11/21/2013) [-]
No, there actually has to be a majority to decide. If a minority of people vote, and the rest are counted as 'no votes' then there is no winner.
User avatar #349 to #346 - thebaseballexpert (11/21/2013) [-]
ok, let me rephrase that. As long as one person in each state votes. Each state has a majority vote, albeit it a 1-0 vote instead of a 234,413-119,937 vote, but a majority of the votes nonetheless. And in the US system, it is possible to win 51% of the electoral vote, and only have 26% of the popular vote (in a system where all 300 million citizens voted)
#351 to #349 - facepalmftw (11/21/2013) [-]
Voters can still cast a blank vote which counts as a vote, but not for a candidate.
User avatar #352 to #351 - thebaseballexpert (11/21/2013) [-]
Huh. And here I thought it just counted as a blank. Thanks you for learning me someting today
#353 to #352 - facepalmftw (11/21/2013) [-]
You can abstain (not cast a vote), or you can cast a blank, or "scratch" vote (vote for a minority party, write-in, or 'none of the above'). Consider yourself teached.

The man who would be God.
User avatar #203 to #21 - basicargentinian (11/20/2013) [-]
I agree. What the US needs is to drop the two party sistem and implemente a new voting process where you grade candidates from most to least.

At first all the votes go to the one you put in the first position. The candidate with the least votes is dropped. The votes of the people who put him first are changed to who they put in second place. This process is repeated untill you have one final candidate.
#227 to #21 - bigfoote (11/20/2013) [-]
Agreed, the re-election idea won't work, but the idea of a "none of the above" category sounds good.
In elections one can tick that box rather than reluctantly choosing their candidate. Also if there is a "none of the above" box then it would be interesting to see how many would vote for it... correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't the state of Nevada have a "none of the above box"?
User avatar #269 to #21 - pseudobob **User deleted account** (11/20/2013) [-]
A much better idea would be to lower the minimum vote percentage required to get the selected party's representative into the debates.

I want to hug you. That and the twitter thing were the two that really bothered me. (Snood explains why in perfect words for the twitter one)
User avatar #48 to #41 - yuukoku (11/20/2013) [-]
The Twitter one was implying that "dumb people" should have their freedom of speech revoked or constrained, which would be legal if Twitter followed through with it because it's their site, but it's essentially wrong and against people's natural rights. Besides, IQ is just a test. There are people with a low IQ who have more meaningful things to say than some number-cruncher or textbook jockey with no soul.

The CapriSun one can be easily circumvented by just putting straws in a bunch of them before you start drinking.

What pissed me off was the Olympics one and the Orchard one. Nobody wants to see some regular idiot go to the Olympics for being normal. People train for their entire lives for that opportunity. Hell, I wanted to go to the Olympics when I was younger. Besides, everybody's different and every variable counts. The fact that he's at the Olympics could make his times vary because of nervousness or something.

You don't plant trees all over graves for lots and lots of good reasons. What if the police need to dig up the body to confirm some kind of evidence or something? The roots would someday tangle and dominate the whole area, turning a place that was meant to be sacred to some people a ******* forest that nobody can navigate. What if grandpa wants to visit grandma, but he can't go because he's not in the shape to navigate a ******* forest. Besides any practical points, it's just not traditional and it would make people feel uneasy knowing that their bodies would be intertwined with the roots of a tree just so that people can feel better about the way an area looks.

Yes. He's not young at all, either. There's no way he could pull off that kind of role even if he tried. Denzel Washington could pull it off, but not Morgan Freeman.

The only thing that seems relatively smart is the one about two movies from different perspectives. There are entire movies and book about the ambiguity of good and evil relative to perspective. 2 problems I noticed:

1) While I'm all for free-market entrepreneurship, making a business out of stone skipping is a terrible idea. It completely misses the point of stone skipping. Finding a good rock is part of the game.

2) Planting trees all over a cemetery would make it hard to bury more people as the roots would get in the way.

also with the cemetery one, you would never be able to find your relative's grave again. Who knows where your parent's are buried because every tree looks the same. Also no one would know any of the times or dates that the person was alive unless they were written down somewhere else.

blurry

why all that empty space?
User avatar #185 to #183 - dracolegacy (11/20/2013) [-]
what empty space? those subs take 2.5 cubic feet each
User avatar #186 to #185 - savirleo (11/20/2013) [-]
might be the angle, but looks like there's enough space to put to more of those in there
User avatar #187 to #186 - dracolegacy (11/20/2013) [-]
if i wanted to buy another pair i would be looking at cutting their space down to about 1.8 cubes each. plus what youre looking at is also hiding the second battery and the 1800 watt rms amplifier.
User avatar #189 to #187 - savirleo (11/20/2013) [-]
guess I'm just used to seeing the amps somewhere visible, and the battery somewhere like under the seat. Not much of a car guy. Hell I don't even know how to change the oil, but I can change the alternator and bypass hose
User avatar #191 to #189 - dracolegacy (11/20/2013) [-]
my engine has to be dropped out to change the alternator. anyway, heres a decent sample of my stereo

song isn't bad

I mostly listen to metal, so it'd be pointless for me to get more than one sub if I ever did something like that

idk man those sound pretty good on double kick, you feel it in your chest just like being at a concert.
User avatar #305 to #302 - savirleo (11/20/2013) [-]

Know of any good speakers that can also do the high? I don't know what it's called
User avatar #344 to #305 - dracolegacy (11/21/2013) [-]
some kenwoods would work pretty damn good for you, also thanks for the song, sounds bitchin.
User avatar #345 to #344 - savirleo (11/21/2013) [-]
any suggestions?

That's the kind of music I listen to. Sometimes I'll listen to other genres such as electro-swing

pretty much anything from kenwood, rockford fosgate, and kicker are all good choices for speakers.
