now Feminists Ban Clapping Because it Triggers 'Anxiety'
#130 to #2 - anon (03/26/2015) [-]
A private event, an activist event for people with anxiety issues is asking for people to not clap per the request of the delegates going there... This isn't even close to what you're implying and is just you wording it to fit your agenda. If you're gonna talk **** about someone make it **** that's actually true in context.

Please, for the love of GOD call them what they really are. Feminazis. Calling them feminists is an insult to actual feminists. We don't call religious extremists "Christian" or "Catholic" because they do not adhere to the principles of those religions. Feminazis are extremists and they give the entire cause a bad name. SCREW FEMINAZIS. Side note: trigger warnings that actually matter are important in keeping many people mentally sound. People who have experienced REAL trauma. For example, I get triggered heavily during rape scenes in movies and shows. If I had a warning beforehand I could skip the scene/prepare/whatever.

TL;DR: GO FEMINISTS, SCREW FEMINAZIS!

This guy isn't lying, they actually are serious.

In all seriousness, the reason why all of this **** is happening in our society isn't because these SJW crazies aren't "powerful", it's because people bend down to them because they believe that since they are all about social justice and "feminism", it must be for a "good cause."

The Comic industry, The Science fiction industry, and at one point the Atheist community bent down to them and they slowly eroded the community. This is what they are trying to do now with Universities and Video games.

We have not learned yet of our past mistakes.

User avatar #14 to #6 - coronus (03/25/2015) [-]
Eh. Hopefully the Universities hold out. Any good professor has the sense to call them out on their crap. Of course petitions and complaints are noisome; but the fradgility and outright obsurdity of their contrived and self-diagnosed "conditions" and anxieties aren't something a reasonable person in any position to make changes is going to consider valid.

I'm sure they'd get counseling appontments in short order, though. So tiny, loud groups of emotionally unstable individuals could benefit from this, just not in the way they think they will. It does seem like some of them verge on borderline personality disorder, compounded with a mild, narcessistic mania tied to their inability to process emotion in a healthy manner. So either they're spoiled brats with a cold family life, came from abuse, or have one of the socially toxic personality disorders.

I repeat an earlier comment:
If that **** triggers your anxiety, you need to be locked in a rubber room.
Seriously. If clapping makes you trigger, then you are not mentally stable and needs to be valued by a REAL professional and locked up if it is deemed needed.
Getting triggered by clapping is anything but normal. What next? They demand people wear blindfolds, so they don't get triggered by them looking at her/him?

I've never understood why feminists are busy claiming trauma and 'muh soggy knees' instead of dealing with bigger **** , like the inequality in the Middle East. They need to get their priorities straight.
#98 to #18 - anon (03/26/2015) [-]
i mean, what are you doing for either issue? just because it is worse in other places and it is so much ******* worse doesn't mean that there aren't issues here that we can help fix.
#103 to #98 - pumkinz (03/26/2015) [-]
According to your logic, this would be completely acceptable
>you see a women with a scraped knee in front of you
>in the distance, a pregnant female is trying to crawl to the hospital after her abusive husband left her out on the streets to rot
>you call an ambulance
>women with scraped knee safely arrives at the hospital
User avatar #114 to #103 - trivdiego (03/26/2015) [-]
not completely acceptable, however it would be better than doing nothing for both sides.

You got like level -2 reading comprehension skills buddy
#116 to #114 - pumkinz (03/26/2015) [-]
or, y'know, you could send help for those who desperately need it first and worry about other peoples non-issues later never
User avatar #120 to #116 - trivdiego (03/26/2015) [-]
you're missing the ******* point. Ignore the intensity of the issues and think of it this way.

You can see a man stuck in the street with a car approaching and a woman and a baby drowning in a river. You know you can only save one or the other, so you make a decision. Most people would choose to save the women and child, and that's fine, but the point is that rescuing the man is better than doing ******* nothing.

Also I haven't seen that many of your comments but if all you do is post pumpkins you might just be the ********* theme account ever.
User avatar #122 to #120 - pumkinz (03/26/2015) [-]
Your actually the first person to realize this was a (semi)-themed account (reason being I got sick of the them the day after I made the account but still liked using fj so I kept it). That statement would be true, but in the real world I think our time would be much better spent on those who truly need it instead of using it on those who wine about false oppression and wage gaps.
User avatar #125 to #122 - trivdiego (03/26/2015) [-]
perhaps., however I don't get funnyjunk's fascination with the 'plight of women in the middle east'.
Its always the first thing that shows up to rebuke the credibility of feminists on these types of posts, and yet if there was such a big outrage over it I get the feeling that we would see more members of the funnyjunk community actually make a lasting impact.
I think we just enjoy using it to put down feminists.
That is not to say that people don't care, its just saying that they can't take the moral high ground in opposition to feminists, who probably do care just as much
User avatar #126 to #125 - pumkinz (03/26/2015) [-]
I get what you're saying, unfortunately there's only so much a lower class HS student can do to help out those overseas, everyone else doesn't have much of an excuse though
User avatar #128 to #126 - trivdiego (03/26/2015) [-]
hey, im with you as far as being a HS student goes. I'm obviously against oppression, but im kinda ****** in the way that i dont want to actually change my lifestyle in order to improve the conditions of others. Doesnt make me a horrible person, just an average one. One thing I can do is try to help with the massive hate the funnyjunk shares towards feminism, which I see as a little irrational. Imo, even the worst of the worst feminazis should just be left alone, not constantly talked about on a site devoted to funny content. And as for the women doing good work, I applaud them.
User avatar #174 to #125 - loomiss ONLINE (03/26/2015) [-]
I personally think the whole "what about the middle east rebuttal" isn't as much saying that fj cares about inequality but telling that person that if they care about inequality that's where they should make a change rather than on something unimportant
Like If some girl scrapes her knee and gets shot (the woman being worldwide inequality)
I personally don't care about her, but if she cares about herself, attending to her scraped knee should be addressed after you deal with problem one.
Yes, she is doing more than me if she fixes her scraped knee, but I am not the one who claimed to be fighting for social justice.
If that makes sense, I suck at articulating my thoughts some times.
User avatar #282 to #174 - trivdiego (03/26/2015) [-]
i think I can understand what you are saying, how if you claim to fight for justice you should help others before yourself. That is true. However it is easier to address what you see as problems in your local area rather than those on another continent. really the most you can do short of flying across the world and protesting is to publicly denounce sharia law, which a lot of people have done.
#175 to #18 - anon (03/26/2015) [-]
It's because feminism has turned into a ******** , unnecessary, deranged movement that has nothing to do with equality. The same goes for the SJWs. It is just a bunch of extremely stupid people being manipulated by a small group of people for profit and there is no profit in equality. This is why they went after the gaming industry and gamers. They thought it would be an easy target to force their twisted belief system on a bunch of "nerds" and make a quick buck in the process. Although it wasn't a complete failure for their manipulative elites who managed to extort, and continue to extort, plenty of money from their idiotic followers by doing nothing but complaining to a large audience.

As in, barely functional and aware of surroundings. In a daze. Mental fog. It's a defense mechanism. And it's even tougher to watch when it happens to someone that you remember are a strong & disciplined individual.

Which is why so many of us are disgusted with these assholes that get triggered by 'clapping' or 'grammar corrections'.

Anyone* that claims PTSD from regular everyday life is a piece of **** seeking attention.

* while there may be a very small few that actually have psychological issues, the majority of them are not.

So...I'm a little confused. I have PTSD but I don't think it's an from "everyday life". Am I still a little piece **** for being triggered?

So many ressources in life have assured that even while doing nothing and confronting nothing, you can still survive, that's the cost of state help to useless people. As the german's said, "Arbeit macht frei", work frees us, from, for example, this kind of ******** , struggle work and discipline is the only thing that can free these weak ************* from their suffering, but well, why work if you can live easily from helps, your parents and **** .

'20-year police officer' I think it's saying he's served 20 years in the police not that he's 20 years old. I thought the same as you at first
