That ending was upsetting as all **** . It was fun to play through, but would have been slightly above average with free roam after the game was beaten instead of just having to revert to an old save.
yeah i have to agree. so many feels happened in the end. but there should have been a sandbox mode in the end. closest thing to sandbox mode that Mafia 2 had was playing the story mode but not doing missions.
nobody really knows anymore. sometimes we are told it is being worked on, sometimes we are told it is being delayed, and we have also been told it is cancelled.
myself and idk if anyone else has any official status on the production.
mafia 2 is a god's mistake, if you ever played the first one, you know what i am talking about, if you want great story, play mafia: the city of lost heaven
If there was more to do freeroam, and the random events that was shown at E3 or whatever, it could have been much better. It was good anyways though, never finished it
I got it as a freebie a while ago, had to pick between Civ5 and Mafia 2.
I already had Civ5.
I'll be honest, I started the game, I had low expectations at first, and it didn't impress me. Seemed like another GTA / Godfather game.
But it got better as I played.
So much better.
if you're into story, and not so much into gameplay? 9/10
also, it's the small things that count, like a massive soundtrack that changes over the course of the game
if you don't care about story and just like shooting and stealing? 4/10
to be honest, the story isn't that great compared to Mafia I
in the first one, you go from someone who wants nothing to do with the mafia working his way to the top, and PLOT TWIST HAPPENS
in II you just muck around a bit and keep ******* things up even more
I wouldn't call it muck around, you mostly make connections that become relevant later in the game. And you don't really **** up so much as run into **** luck. You're not really making mistakes, it's more everything that could go wrong is going wrong. As for Mafia one being better, I can't say much I still haven't gotten my hands on a copy yet
Yeah, yeah, Mafia II, great... But I cannot help and be sad that 2K basically butchered the game, took everything what was great in Mafia I (my all time favorite, out of nostalgia mostly) and what fans wanted to see and just... It wasn't a true honest Mafia sequel, I'm sorry, it wasn't.
