Czech is the term. Easy to remember because they're from the Czech Republic.
Better than the Flemish who are from Belgium
#31 to #22 - John Cena (02/27/2014) [-]
You could just call them Belgians though. The Flemish are only one (the biggest) group in Belgium, there's also the Walloons.
It's like calling all Americans Texans or all the British English, which happens a lot.

It does get a bit confusing a little further north. People from the Netherlands are called the Dutch.

If i'd just stormed up a beach and seen hundreds of my friends and countrymen mown down by these guys sat in a machine gun nest, them being czeck would not change my mind about shooting them. Their argument is invalid

doesn't really seem like film making. seems like random trivia.

It's good film making, and for a few reasons. Firstly and most obviously, it displays the harshness of war and what people are forced into, by using the audience itself to show ignorance. Secondly, good films make all scenes matter, and small details are how this is done. This for example seems like nothing but some trivial, but it reinforces the harshness of war this film emphasises.

Generally a good movie has a basic plot that anyone can follow and enjoy well enough, but enough hidden details to make people appreciate it more and more through repeated watchings, instead of growing bored.

I tried to watch "The Wolverine" and "First Class" online, quality was good, but when they were speaking Japanese or German it had no subtitles, so I was pretty clueless.
I imagine if every WWII movie had the Nazis speaking German with English subtitles,
we would have a similar problem.
Or it could be people are usually too lazy to read, or have problems with their vision.
User avatar #20 to #10 - sadisticsalmon (02/27/2014) [-]
Ummm.... what, streaming online is normally something film-makers don't want to have happen, but I have to say, I definitely prefer when the ffermans either speak fluent english, as if we are listening to them in German, or if they are subbed, no stupid ******* accents
