After some digging around with reverse image search and knowing her name was "Henrietta" something, I found:

It doesn't actually change much when they are adults. Leopards are the only cat that don't growl or roar, they chirp which draws less attention from a stronger predator like a hyena or a lion.
They hiss and make growl-like noises, but "roar" is a strong word for the noise they make in my experience. Most of what I know about them is from Big Cat Diary on animal planet though, I'm no leopard expert but none ever made any noises you'd expect a big cat to make.
As for clouded leopards, definitely no roaring there.
It's actually still a roar, though, as it's one of the defining characteristics for the four largest members of the panthera genus. The leopard is the smallest cat that is able to roar. The roars of the big cats are all quite different, though, that is true.
Oh ok, I get what you mean now - I actually have heard leopards (and jaguars actually) make a noise like this; I didn't recognize it as an actual roar... or a growl for that matter. It's a peculiar noise. I learned something new today, thanks man.
Roaring is typically not as majestic as you'd think.
I laughed quite hard first time I heard this ****** . Sounds like he's just had a cold or something.
lol believe me, the first time I heard a real, normal lion roar on animal planet, my mother and I started laughing. it was kinda pathetic because an older male had just gotten run off by two youngsters after his roaring attracted them, so, after he was chased away, he stood around and roared some more. We were just like "yeah, you dumb"
lol, that one woke my dog up. lifted his head for a moment with his cheek fur all messed up on one side of his face, then plopped back down and resumed sleeping
you know it may not be as impressive as ****** Aslan in Narnia thundering out some booming roar for hollywood to sell more movies, but I'd still be impressed if I heard it in person, gotta say.
Wish I had seen that one. ******* lions, man. Gotta love them and their gargly-ass roars.
Aww, what a sweetheart. Sorry, doggy!
Yeah, no, that morning gargle would've still been just as spoopy had I been walking around on the savannah.
Tiger roars are probably the most badass ones, and definitely the most powerful ones. Especially since they have that reputation (not sure if it's real or a myth) of basically paralysing their victims by roaring. I even heard that they used tiger roars for The Lion King.
True from what I understand; lion roars were deemed to not be loud enough if I remember right.
Tiger roars are by far the most intimidating. It actually does reach a certain decibel that causes human instinct to kick in and put you in the fight-or-flight response of a prey animal - the same decibel of sound is sometimes made by old pipes or fans in buildings, leading to people (and animals) to have a physical reaction and sometimes hallucinate, even if they can't put their finger on what's causing it. It's the reason behind a lot of "haunted houses" and "paranormal activity".
I don't think anything in this thread is a real roar, probably one of dozens of vocalisations that cats do.
But I have to agree, lion roars are pretty underwhelming compared to tigers, which is what you most of ten hear in movies.
It's just that roaring isn't quite so clear-cut, since it varies between species, and comes in different stages and variations, depending on what it's used for.
