I remember it too, something along the lines of
"that moment when you get so tired you reread the same sentence that moment when you get so tired you reread the same sentence..." (repeated 5 or 6 times)

It was such an unsettling moment in the movie when Count Olaf struck Klaus like that.

i sorta wished there was a film adaptation of some of the rest of the series, especially on The End where serious Jim Carrey/Count Olaf helps the kids at the end and let that lady give birth . i would cry
User avatar #62 to #45 - playerdous (11/08/2013) [-]
I hated how the lady dies because she can't eat the apple, all I could think is that it takes 8 hours to digest food completely so she could give birth and eat the apple. If you don't recall the apple is poisonous to unborn children, which still doesn't make sense since she was giving birth.

I remember that in one of those books he talks about how some people skim through books just to get the important parts of the book without reading it all so he would put in some random things to throw them off, and then mid sentence he said something about 3 men lifting a piano and dedicated a paragraph or two to that

Those books were awesome.

Isn't that the book whose plot turns into an infinite loop? Like, the ending of the plot leads to the beginning of the plot?
User avatar #49 to #44 - ThpiderMan (11/08/2013) [-]
That describes quite a few books/series. The Stephen King series Dark Tower is basically just that. One of the longest series of long ass books, and it ends where it began, only with the hope of it maybe turning out right this time. I'd probably be pissed if it wasn't so awesome.
#52 to #49 - aerosol (11/08/2013) [-]
I actually read the comic adaptation. Seems pretty awesome.

Too bad I'll never have the patience to finish the actual book.
User avatar #53 to #52 - ThpiderMan (11/08/2013) [-]
I read the comics too, pretty neat comic actually, some parts of it were done better in my opinion than in the actual books. Stephen King himself calls some parts of the book series "hodgepodge" and "a ******* mess", but it started really early in his career, and you can tell as the series continues that he is getting stronger as a writer, much stronger.

I read all the books when I was a kid and last week I went on the Wiki for a few hours just re-reading the whole story. The nostalgia was overwhelming.

I just suddenly remembered that I spent a good three minutes reading all of the "ever" section when i got to it in that book. I was seriously hoping for some kind of Easter egg, and I was greatly disappointed.
User avatar #17 - sheenaandjanie (11/08/2013) [-]
Remember that time he kept repeatig that same line to demonstrate how Klaus was reading late at night and kept repeating sentences? I remember... I remember reading that late at night and my brain was going to so ******* crazy.

God damn I love that man. Really made my early childhood worth while.

>read deja vu passage
>think book has a misprinted page
>read it a year later again, get the joke
