This show is part of why my younger brother and I can relate at all and consider each other friends. They were perfect in their roles and Lahey is a complete tv villian that will never leave my mind. This show fascinates me in its ability to affect people despite its incredibly crass nature. Dont we all wish we could drink like Lahey? Is it weird we find that badass?

Not to brag but Canadian have a way higher alcohol tolerance than Americans. most kids i know can chug half a 2-6 and still function.

I was just having a normal fun with two of my best friends.
we were drinking, eating and singing karaoke.
while singing I gulped down cheap Korean shochu a lot.
when I came to my senses I was being surrounded by cops and my whole family, and my body hurt like hell.

from what they said, while we were on a taxi I went berserk all of a sudden and tried to kick my buddies off the car.
the taxi stopped, I opened the door and started running like crazy.
one of friends tried to stop me, I started beating the hell out of him screaming the most horrendous swear words.
and we were on our watermelon field.
the family heard my scream and woke up.
the other friend felt helpless and called the police. I got grappled by six cops, while still screaming something.
fortunately cops were generous and they didn't arrest me.

after that I recollected my memory at that moment...
I thought everyone around me was secretly plotting against me.
they were all spies from communist China or whatever disguised as friends, drivers and villagers.
"if I don't get out of the taxi right now they'll kill me!"

well, I'm sure the cause wasn't just alcohol though. maybe I wasn't right in the head in the first place.
but at least I realized that alcohol could unleash every negative aspect of human mind we usually inhibit.

P.S.
those friends accepted my apology, we are still friends.
they sometimes say I should drink some, but I've been sober for three years,
but one of them (the one I punched) got pissed when I said the bacon he made was a bit saltier than expected, and I've been blocked by him for almost a year.

yeah I know exactly what you are talking about. we all go through that.
it never filled my inner void.
I guess the main problem about alcohol is that society says it's totally acceptable or recommendable to take it.
it's just too normalized in social situations and if we quit it some people instantly say it's weird or something.
I've tried a lot of drugs but alcohol brought me to the most miserable state ever, both physically and mentally.
after quitting drinking I lost 20kg of body fat, that speaks a lot I guess.
