so what happens when a fat and unattractive guy wears a fedora? does it suddenly turn into a tribly?

You speak truth.
The Fedora/Trillby does not make someone a neckbeard.
The anime tshirt and neck pubes make them a neckbeard.
If worn with a suit and a clean shave, either of these hats can work.
Acting politely, not pretentiously, is also key.
And goddamn it people, there are times where it's better to dress casual.
#32 to #10 - questioner (03/05/2014) [-]
It's not about the fedora on your head, it's about the one on your heart.

how bout the neckbeard makes em neckbeards?

"fedora are for classy gentlemen"
ten bucks says OP's wearing a fedora
#38 - anoyingmos (03/05/2014) [-]
Like I give a **** . Still does not change the fact that a bunch of autistic brony-neckbeards ruined them both for future generations.
User avatar #77 to #38 - monkeysniper (03/05/2014) [-]
I have never met or seen a brony actually wear a fedora, nor atheist specifically, just people that act as if they think they're more clever than everyone else.
#42 to #38 - garymuthafuknoak (03/05/2014) [-]
it was mostly elitest athiests that made fedoras unpopular, some bronys just made the situation worse
#35 - tomagod (03/05/2014) [-]
OP's face when posting this.

NO but seriously, as this picture demonstrates both are equally bad, and distinguishing between them is something done by fedora wearers who think they are the exception to the rule, and believe they don't look like a fedora'd gentleman when they don the hat of shame.

No self respecting normal person cares which is which and only neck-bearded faggots would argue over the trivial fact that one is more beta than the other, when both are clearly beta as all living **** .
#54 to #35 - larknok ONLINE (03/05/2014) [-]
totally gonna get red thumbed to hell for this...

but I actually think the guy in the pic you posted doesn't look half bad. His hat actually matches his shirt, he doesn't have a smug face of superiority on, I don't think his glasses look half bad, and his facial hair is faaaar from neckbeard status.

6/10, would go on first date.
#109 to #54 - tomagod (03/08/2014) [-]
Yea you see what he posted, he is obviously a try hard beta-male mad at people who get with girls. and he thinks smoking a cigar and posing in a fedora and short sleeved button up is classy, you may be suffering from mild autism if you cant see that this guy is a massive beta chubby bearded fedora wearing douche.
User avatar #73 to #54 - GamerMandrew (03/05/2014) [-]
Honestly, if done well, the trilby or the fedora could actually look kinda nice. I mean, if you had a nice outfit that matched, plus the head/face shape, then it could work,

Is Funnyjunk trying to "win back" the fedora by posting pictures of neckbeards in trilbies and ignoring the fact that neckbeards wear both?

#105 to #51 - John Cena (03/05/2014) [-]
probably because OP is butthurt that he wears a fedora and everyone associates him with autistic trilby wearers

except both hats correlate to autism, so it's a lose/lose situation
User avatar #106 to #105 - reggaemortis (03/05/2014) [-]
Wearing a hat doesn't correlate to anything. It's just a ************* hat. I swear, fashion is the strangest thing.
User avatar #61 - nimba (03/05/2014) [-]
man, I sure love talking about hats all the time
User avatar #85 - kyfvini (03/05/2014) [-]
I liked using a hat and I didnt give a damn. I think its more about the attitude. Why do you even care of what other people say, if you like it, wear it. If you look terrible with it, you will eventually notice someday. And if you still dont care, then where is the problem.

You dont have to be a neckbeard autistic brony to like hats. Just have the balls to dress however you want, as long as you dont get annoying to the people near you.
#40 - Eiza (03/05/2014) [-]
That's great and all but no normal person is going to know the difference nor give a damn what you swear that it's called if you wear a flippin' fandom shirt with jean shorts, unkempt hair, and an untrimmed neck with the hat.

Dress hat + casual clothes =/= fancy man.

I kind of do when it comes to opinions that people have about certain things... Like one time i was with my bro (14) and our family went out to eat with this other family (who had two boys both aged 7, and two girls (12 and 14)) and the 14 year old was fliring with me, because i both look young for my age (18) and can hold a convo pretty damn well (my one useful skill with girls) and in order to get the girl to talk to my brother, i dared the little kids to eat a napkin, and they were like "no, no one would do it, i bet even you wouldn't do it" so, i called their bluff, and ate a napkin. And things like that, i don;t really care about, because it's weird, and most people don't instantly think you're a loser if you accept a dare... but, when it comes to people thinking you're a neck beard, that's something i want to avoid as much as humanly possible...

User avatar #75 to #58 - puggles (03/05/2014) [-]
sadly, those shirts actually have a purpose. mainly for big guys so that they can tuck their shirts in and when they bend over they won't be exposing ass crack.
