Based on their previous roles I would say that neither of them we be good for the role of James Bond.
User avatar #6 to #2 - teoferrazzi (12/31/2013) [-]
based on Capaldi's previous roles
you get the drill
#13 to #2 - rdobet (01/01/2014) [-]
That's also what was said for Heath Ledger playing the Joker though.
User avatar #53 to #13 - barryscott (01/01/2014) [-]
I hate it when people say that, the reason people didn't want Ledger to play was because his only well known role before was a gay cowboy, and there is a difference between an actor that is capable of completely changing themselves mentally and physically and well someone that can't.
User avatar #15 to #13 - imofcnotharveydent (01/01/2014) [-]
he went crazy and overdosed on sleep medication because of that role tho'
#16 to #15 - rdobet (01/01/2014) [-]
Doesn't mean he did badly though.

"Bring a certain British charm to the part"
I'm no connoisseur when it comes to James Bond, but if I remember right, every single James Bond has British charm.

Even Sean Connery and he's ******* Spanish!

Bringing a certain British charm to playing a member of Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Just the thought of that is making me laugh.

red thumbs incoming

i dislike the actor ( the left one) very much and didn´t like him in avengers, to many cheesy jokes and i couldn´t take that villain serious it was like a movie for 10 year olda
User avatar #9 to #4 - biscuitsunited (01/01/2014) [-]
That's Tom Hiddleston, he's a fantastic actor, watch films like war horse and you'll see that. But I agree, the avengers didn't need a humorous character.
#23 to #9 - anon (01/01/2014) [-]
Im sorry Tom Hiddlestone is at best a mediocre actor hasn't shown any acting ability at all, Loki is a very bad villain and terribly acted while War horse is a very poor film and he has nothing else to show to his name

>Dislikes an actor for lines that he has no control over
>dislikes him for being in a movie that you didn't like
10/10 would call a retard
User avatar #28 to #12 - kievmao (01/01/2014) [-]
Weeelll, he did have the choice of whether or not to be in the movie. So it's not like he had no control. Still, I liked him in the role and wouldn't have chosen a different actor or representation of the Marvel Loki.
#61 to #28 - anon (01/01/2014) [-]
Its his job. It paid well. "I dislike a guy for doing his job" An actor can't turn down roles all the time and its a major movie. Being in it would be hugely beneficial. That's like saying you hate someone for choosing to do a certain plumbing job.

Well, at least you're not at the point where you couldn't care less, so I suppose you're still kind of interested about it.

I would love to see Martin Freeman play the part of the Doctor. Then, I would absolutely adore if Benedict would play the part of the Master. That kind of relation would be amazing on Doctor Who. It would also be funny, especially since both series are produced by the same people.

Oh geez, what is the difference btw?
User avatar #72 to #71 - ewowo (01/03/2014) [-]
Seriously?
England is just England.
Great Britain is the geographical island comprising the main land of England, Scotland and Wales.
The United Kingdom is Great Britain along with Northern Ireland and the smaller Islands such as Man, the Shetlands, the Orkneys, the Channel Islands etc.
User avatar #73 to #72 - kinginyellow (01/03/2014) [-]
Ok thanks, that **** just always confused me. I knew England as England, but not UK's whole area.

We still got one or two movies to get out of Daniel Craig before they can move on though. Skyfall was badass.

It bothers me that actors that win awards for Best Actor and such are really winning awards for having the best lines.
User avatar #37 to #14 - yunoknow (01/01/2014) [-]
Jean Dujardin of The Artist begs to differ.
Jokes aside, yeah, half an actor's achievement is usually the writer's accomplishment.
User avatar #43 to #14 - kinginyellow (01/01/2014) [-]
The best lines are nothing if they aren't by great actors.
