The content is about games in general, and how it's sad when you complete them. Everyone thinks it's about Bioshock, but I should've made it clearer.

Man, what an ending.
How do you think they'll end season 2? Maybe Kenny will finally get a damn boat and get a happy ending with him and Clementine escaping. Or, maybe they'll both die very painfully near the end, but that can be a bit repetitive.

I understand you used the Spoiler function, and I applaud you for that. But that function has been so overused, that if there is no warning before it, it is ineffective. People open it anyways.
I mean, nothing was spoiled for me personally, i'm already up to date, but other might not be.

vioye gimes

Tho', it's good to see storys comming to an end like seeing heros becoming legends, characters making their peace, worlds saved, villians (?) destoryed, secrets solved and so on instead of having open ends where you will never know the ending or the ending is delayed to hell. No matter how sad or epic it was, it was great that it happend. somehow.
RIP Lee.

This **** right here, hard.
Last Guardian had better not be vaporware
User avatar #26 to #23 - sladee (03/09/2014) [-]
Is Ico an actual sequel? i remember hearing that somewhere.
User avatar #29 to #26 - fattruck (03/09/2014) [-]
Apparently it is, because at the end when Wander turns into the horned baby, he becomes the progenitor of the horned children from ico
I'm thinking they'll just make Last Guardian a prequel.
The main idea people have is that in Last Guardian either the boy will die or Trico, the man-eating eagle, will die. Contributing to that theory, I think the community will flip its **** if Trico is the "last guardian" of the forbidden land from SotC, and the ending is him getting killed by Wander.
User avatar #32 to #29 - sladee (03/09/2014) [-]
I have no idea what the **** did you just say, i haven't palyed in ages and back then i didn't pay attention to what was going on.
So a more detailed explanation would be appreciated.
User avatar #34 to #32 - fattruck (03/09/2014) [-]
Here's the ending www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1XAKoFdlEE
Or in short, Wander kills the 16 colossi, which brings back the entity Dormin, who then resurrects Mono (the dead girl) and possesses Wander but then is sealed in the green tower/ shrine of worship, Dormin's essence is fused with Wander to create the baby with horns.

User avatar #40 to #39 - fattruck (03/09/2014) [-]
Yep. They also work on Pcsx2 current version 1.2.1, if you're interested in emulating.

User avatar #45 to #44 - fattruck (03/09/2014) [-]
Pcsx2 has plugins and options that help make the picture clearer and speedhacks to make it faster. On emulator, the only problem with Shadow of the colossus is framerate, which can be remedied by disabling framelimit, though it might make things too fast.
User avatar #47 to #45 - sladee (03/09/2014) [-]
Is it comfortable to playy without a ps2 control?
User avatar #54 to #47 - fattruck (03/10/2014) [-]
Its easy to configure a 360 controller in pcsx2 so that it controls just like a ps2 controller. You just go to controller plugin settings, select a button to map to like L2 or square and then press the corresponding button on your controller. I play with an xbox controller thats been mapped just like a ps2 controller, including the analogue sticks, and it works great.
User avatar #57 to #54 - sladee (03/10/2014) [-]
I got no controller m8
User avatar #59 to #57 - fattruck (03/10/2014) [-]
Keyboard works too, though it will take some creativity to set it to your liking and may be a bit awkward with analogue control, but is otherwise possible and it can be accustomed to.

Also during the fair it's shown that vigors are passed out to everyone, with a woman handing out free bottles of the possession vigor. So why is Booker the only person besides two enemies and Cornelius Slate who uses them?
User avatar #42 to #35 - rockergamer (03/09/2014) [-]
Well the enemies who DO use the vigors seem a little ****** up physically, needing a suit or cage etc.

Maybe booker's the only one who can handle it.
User avatar #33 to #31 - kyleayv ONLINE (03/09/2014) [-]
The Comstock who Booker drowns in the bird bath isn't the same Comstock who stole his daughter, since Booker and Elizabeth have passed through two tears at that point and end the game in a different universe than they started from. So when Elizabeth is captured, shouldn't that universe's Comstock wonder why he now has two Elizabeths? And why was he killed him if Booker knew it wasn't the same one?
User avatar #37 to #33 - rockergamer (03/09/2014) [-]
I think at the end they're just traveling back and fourth through time, each time belonging to a parallel universe too. Since there are millions of alternate worlds then of course there'd be more than one elizabeth that learns how to do the time thing.

The very beginning of elizabeth is when booker does or doesn't get the baptism. It kind of plays into a single thread where it eventually loops back on it's self and get's confusing from there.

Time travel confuses the **** out of me. The only plot hole for me was explaining what gave elizabeth those powers.

It is a quite popular game amongst 3DS players.

As for bravely default itself, as much as I liked it, I hated to have to replay the chapters over and over and over and over and over and over again.
It got super boring atfer the third time, which is why I wouldn't restart the game from scratch. The Ending was unexpected though it really surprised me.

And not to mention the outstanding synchronization...

User avatar #19 to #17 - imadps (03/09/2014) [-]
I'll agree there's too much emphasis, but it's not cancer, and it's certainly not killing games. Nowadays, games focus too much on plot twists and surprises than building a decent story with good gameplay.
User avatar #77 to #17 - kikisu (03/10/2014) [-]
I actually really only play games for the story. I don't like shooters, but after being told over and over again how great it was, I sat down and played the mass effect trilogy, and ******* loved it. Same goes for a lot of the games I end up playing. I like the typical RPG style game like Elder Scrolls, or Dragon Age, so yeah.
#66 to #17 - grandlordchicken (03/10/2014) [-]
I completely disagree. If anything it's creating a new genre of story based games, such as the walking dead, and revitalizing many old genres. Also revengeance is a terrible example for you to use, it has some of the best goddam gameplay ever AND a pretty interesting story. But I respect you for putting your contentious opinion out there.
User avatar #67 to #66 - nevolmon (03/10/2014) [-]
I never said I hated story in games, what I hate is when everything else takes a backseat to it, and the game just turns into "do these things until the next cutscene shows up".
#68 to #67 - grandlordchicken (03/10/2014) [-]
That's not what you said, you said "Am I the only one who thinks that overemphasis on story is the cancer killing video games?" This implosion that the increased emphasis on story in video games in recent years is beginning to make a large amount of them much worse.
User avatar #71 to #68 - nevolmon (03/10/2014) [-]
well then what I told you just now is what I meant to say, stop looking for a target for your hatred.
#72 to #71 - grandlordchicken (03/10/2014) [-]
Your kinda jumping to conclusions, I never said I felt any hate for you or even your opinion, I merely said I disagree with it. Calm down. Now an example in which the gameplay is merely an means to advance the story is the walking dead telltale games, which are fantastic.

I additionally said that I respect you for posting a contentious opinion. I don't hate you, I don't know you. I don't hate your opinion, I don't know what you have based it on. User avatar #48 to #17 - yukicherry (03/10/2014) [-]
I hate games with stories that are just cheap glue for the gameplay.
I hate games with stories that are merely a meaningless array of tropes.
I hate games that fake depth with shallow quantity.
I hate games in which the worlds do not tell a story, but are interchangeable and insignificant.
I hate games that have forgotten that words are not the only way to tell a story.

Maybe I am shallow, but I just cannot enjoy a game to its full extend when it is not apparent that someone put his/her heart into it. Maybe it is because I have played games since I have been little, but I'm overly sensitive to certain flaws a game has.

My favorite games are most of the time far from being perfect. But they are those games that just feel right.
User avatar #95 to #48 - enigmaticspirit (03/10/2014) [-]
It's natural. Games are interactive storytelling with a ton of potential. When they don't make the most of that, the game won't be as great.
