Boys are apparently good at being prettier girls than girls are.

Actually I think they generally report a better result for Female-to-Male rather than the other way around. Mostly because men generally have much more predominate physical features, like larger hands and feet.

I'm torn between agreeing that is way too early, arguing that earlier transitions are easier than later ones, and not knowing the full story.
User avatar #79 to #18 - mrloki (08/01/2014) [-]
I have to agree that it was too early, I mean, she probably decided that she would not be to properly use her willy before it was even fully developed, due to hormones I really doubt she can keep the thing up, that if she still got it, if not, well, she decided she liked dick before being sexually mature enough to be sure...

While I believe it's her choice and that (s)he might have been a girly boy that liked female stuff or even truly wanted to be born as a female, the lack of sexual maturity compromised a complete understanding of the full consequences of undergoing that kind of treatment.

On the other hand she wouldn't look that pretty if she started the treatment later on

"Think she's cute?"

Yes.

I don't care what gender she was born as, she's still damn attractive.

My girlfriend is male-to-female transgender as well, so I don't really think a girl having been born with a penis makes them any less pretty, or any less of a person, or any less of a girl.

You don't get to choose what gender you are, it's genetic, he can get all the surgeries he wants and wear whatever, genetically he is a male.
User avatar #45 to #40 - Temari (08/01/2014) [-]
There is such a huge difference between gender and sex, it's 20- ******** 14 please learn that. I don't give half a **** what your sex is, if you're born a man but figure out that you want to be a woman then you're a damn woman to me, cause it's gender that we can see and that we should care about. The doctor knows she used to be a man, that's all that really matters cause of male-related health concerns, other than that it's a woman and she should be referred to as a woman.

Staying logged in cause I'll go down with my comment if I must cause I support trans people.

you can choose your gender, you can't choose your sex.
#71 to #43 - sytheris (08/01/2014) [-]
Arguably not. Some studies show you can choose your gender as much as you can choose your sexuality.
User avatar #104 to #71 - ancano ONLINE (08/01/2014) [-]
arguing a point doesn't make you correct, the overwhelming amount of early childhood development research shows that the gender of a person is related to the brain and is not something in the genome of the person.
#105 to #104 - sytheris (08/01/2014) [-]
Equally as much in the brain as sexual orientation, yes.
User avatar #106 to #105 - ancano ONLINE (08/01/2014) [-]
and you can't change your brain waves at whim, therefore, it is not a choice.

People like you are the reason the subject of trans people is even still a a problem.

People are not their DNA, people are people. If you're born XY but decide nature made an error and you're really supposed to be XX, then for all intents and purposes (sans medical related situations), that person is XX whether or not a DNA test backs that up.

I don't even necessarily believe it's a matter of choice, everyone is different but being trans is very hard on my girlfriend, and she still struggles with depression and some emotional problems. Like gays, I doubt very seriously she woke up one morning and just chose all of that for the lulz.
#61 to #52 - anon (08/01/2014) [-]

I firmly believe that people who try to PURPOSELY change their gender are ******* disgusting and committing the biggest crime against nature. I am not a bible thumper, nor am i against gays, but transvestites make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. You are mentally ill if you believe you are in "the wrong body" and think that by mutilating your own genitals and pumping yourselves with hormones with the rest of your lives will change anything, you are mistaken. No matter how close science can make it, you will NEVER know what it is truly like to be a man/woman. Your gender was already determined when you were developing as a fetus, and you should accept that.
User avatar #81 to #72 - rollinggolem (08/01/2014) [-]
I agree, but when it's this convincing I don't even care.

User avatar #89 to #72 - cmcdftw ONLINE (08/01/2014) [-]
With all due respect sir you have no right to determine what is right or wrong for others to do with their lives, they hurt no one in the process of changing their gender and it makes them happy, so why should there be any problem with it
User avatar #86 to #72 - imakejewburgers (08/01/2014) [-]
It's ******* weird and there's something wrong with those people mentally, but don't use that ******** it goes against nature argument. There actually are animals that change genders and plenty of organisms that don't even have one. It's not any different than any other surgery or medication, you're just freaked out by it.
User avatar #93 to #86 - Lintutu (08/01/2014) [-]
i'm aware that there are other animals in nature that can change their gender, but we as HUMANS by nature cannot. Therefore it is a crime against NATURE to try and do so.

inb4 but clothes, buildings, cars, etc are not natural!
it's not the same nor is it fair to compare it, and you know it
User avatar #115 to #93 - imakejewburgers (08/01/2014) [-]
You can be as bigoted as you want, buddy, but don't try to justify it by inventing ******** natural laws that don't exist.
User avatar #116 to #115 - Lintutu (08/01/2014) [-]
if we as humans cannot do something naturallly to begin with (such as changing our skin color, reproducing asexually, etc) then why try to force it? I'm not much of a spiritual person or whatever, but i do believe nature has order
User avatar #95 to #93 - antey (08/01/2014) [-]
just stop that crime against nature thing it is not serious nature has no laws so how do you brake them...

User avatar #65 to #33 - konradkurze (08/01/2014) [-]
better to allow her the change at 12 before the hormones really kick in and make the transition to female difficult....
#70 to #33 - sytheris (08/01/2014) [-]
I can see your point, but if they have validated psychiatrics to back up the procedure, and they know it isn't just a stage someone is going through, then the earlier the better in most cases.
