it was a microsoft word document that used to be one of my school projects (which had to be a collage of images) and i just took all the porn i could find and put those images behind the ones in the original document

I just bought a 16gb USB drive and encrypted it with TrueCrypt. After every session, I run a batch file that clears everything from the registry. It's hidden among my other 8 USB drives.

If someone plugs it in, Windows just says it needs to be formatted. I'd rather have to rebuild my collection from scratch than have someone find the files.

smart but way too much effort. I just had it saved on a hidden browser, then later on an external harddrive I kept turned off. If anyone tried to look who knew me they probably wouldn't know what an external hard drive was back then haha.

Sadly now I work in IT and I trust no one.

as far as securely deleting files, there are two things that can help

download.cnet.com/Free-File-Shredder/3000-2144_4-75978088.html
www.piriform.com/ccleaner

the first one is useful for deleting specific files, the second is a cleaner that can wipe data floating in free space (with the right settings), using these two programs insures anyone without extensive computer knowledge will see your ****

as for browser history though, IDK how effective the cleaner is

I been using the Ccleaner, and it's okay. Cookies are deleted (and it logs you out of websites) and it will fix security errors.

I interned at a computer repair shop for a few months.

Oh god you do not look through folders. I learned that on the second day when we got a laptop from this elderly gentleman who wanted a cleaning done on his computer because it felt slow or whatever. I could not wait to get that machine out of the shop as quickly as possible.

After that experience I just ran our folder of cleaners, malware scanners and **** and just did reformatting without looking at anything. You can never look at people the same way again when they come to pick up their stuff.

Ok full story, guy comes in and says his computer has started to play up. He then mentioned he was on some sites that he shouldn't of been on (Insert **** load of cleaning wipes for keyboard here)

Start the repair, sure enough see the normal crap regedit pro etc, open the web browser, all favourites and home pages are of gay porn and stuff set by him and not infections. I just reset the settings completely he won't argue that I deleted his gay porn links. Run my tools to finish the repair delete the tools off of the computer open the recycle bin to clear them, see pics and videos of everything you can imagine, I quickly empty the entire bin before my eyes were destroyed by the pics, I think he might of even been in there....

write in job notes browsing habits and web sites containing explicit material may lead to re infection.
I have some better stories if any one wants to hear them
