That's beautiful. My wife (since three years) keeps telling me that when one of us eventually dies, she will move to a Mediterranean island.
#31 to #14 - Rascal (10/09/2013) [-]
she keeps telling it to you, looks like she´s looking forward to it

Sorry to bring this to you, but if she dies she is going nowhere.
User avatar #25 to #15 - dinkcool (10/09/2013) [-]
What if he buries her on a Mediterranean island?
User avatar #45 to #25 - cxnt (10/09/2013) [-]
that'd be kind of romantic, in a sad feely sort of way.
User avatar #32 to #15 - vigorion (10/09/2013) [-]
Yeah, she usually answers that remark with a sly smirk, giving me the feeling she is insinuating that I will be the one to die first...
#33 to #32 - tomtomvdp (10/09/2013) [-]
If she suddenly recommends that you get life insurance , I would advice you to run.
#39 to #33 - pwnmissilereborn **User deleted account** (10/09/2013) [-]
So that's how she will get the money to move to a Mediterranean island... Dude, just run.
#37 to #15 - Rascal (10/09/2013) [-]
Isn't that the joke - she'd implying that he'll die first, maybe she kills him...
User avatar #73 to #37 - vigorion (10/09/2013) [-]
Indeed.

my next door neighbor passed away end of May at 89 years old and after that his wife just seemed to give up on life and passed away less than 2 months after

So who won the oldest age contest?
User avatar #2 - hudis (10/09/2013) [-]
Seems to happen sometimes with people who are very, very close. My grandmother knew a couple of old ladies who were twins, both died from natural causes about a day apart at age 91.
User avatar #12 to #2 - grocer (10/09/2013) [-]
Not because they were twins, so genetically programmed to die from similar things at similar times.
User avatar #19 to #12 - MetaIIica (10/09/2013) [-]
But that only accounts for the aspect of nature in the whole nature vs. nurture debate.
User avatar #38 to #2 - commontroll (10/09/2013) [-]
These ones died from a car wreck though.

My grandma just died earlier today at the age of 92. For the past two weeks, she was telling us she has been talking to my grandpa and that he was coming to get her and take her home. My grandpa died seven years ago

Eventho it without doubt must be devastating to loose your husband/wife, theres still something to live for, children, grandchildren, friends etc.

Im certainly happy that my grandmother didnt just give up and withered away, when my grandfather died

That's unfortunately a really common thing. My mother managed a senior nutrition site (as in, they fed seniors really well balanced a nutritious meals for cheap), and she noticed and told me that when couples came in, and one of them passed away, the other one usually passed away not too soon afterwards.
User avatar #71 - pizzajoe (10/09/2013) [-]
at least they didn't have to go a day without the other
